You have my condolences, recently went through a similar thing. It was my mother's cousin, but they were close so he was more like an uncle. Hadn't seen him much since his two strokes, he didn't seem to want anyone to see him that way and then finally his heart problems caught up. Sadly his life seemed to fall apart towards the end... But, it's best to not remember the bad parts and focus on the good.
