After a bit of a wobble with painting motivation, I have got my Rohan chaps done:



Looking at this I see I missed the horses eyes and tongues, will get that sorted before I varnish and base, which will hopefully not be too far away now if spring comes on time

Next up - 30k terminators.

Forth Eorlingas! Good to see some more horsemen around and always good to post pictures of painted minis, because you will always forget to paint some detail you won't see until you post that pic (speaking out of experience ).

Loving all the fine work here, Slinky, Salamanders, Trolls, monstrous creatures and all looking excellent. Keep up the nice work!

Working on my 30k Imperial Fist terminators still - The yellow is mostly done, which is the time consuming part, so hopefully have something to show soon!

I finally got the terminators done, I had forgotten just how tricky these Imperial Fists are!



2021's score is now 66

Lovely Terminators, the yellow is great, nice and warm but grimy too.

I got the last 6 Rohan warriors on foot done!



And with there being some actually nice weather, I was able to varnish and base all the other Rohan dudes that have been queued up:

Looks great, shields and bases most lovely.

Great to see some more Rohan (and the IF are impressive too!). Love some of the details like the bit of contrasting red on the one warrior on foot. They look really cool all together.

Thanks - I wanted the captain to stand out, so he has a touch of red, and gold on his shield...

Here are the first 6 Genestealers for Space Hulk - Not a really lavish paint job, as there are 22 of them to get done, and they will just end up as a giant horde in the game, but I am pleased enough.



My score for this year is now sitting at 78 which is quite gratifying.

Awesome work, love the yellow of the terminators versus the dark blues and purple of the 'stealers. I bet that will look great on the tabletop.

Really like your warriors of Rohan too, is that using contrast paints?

No, the Rohan are all done with paint/wash/highlight.

Genestealers were made to be painted hastily! And you did a great job on them, love the classic colors and they look just as the should.

Having got 3 more Rohan models about half done, I completely ran out of oomph, and they sat there taunting me.

So when my ZCide season 2 pledge arrived, I took the opportunity to change task and start splashing Contrast paints around again with carefree abandon - They are only horde models for a boardgame after all!

Here are the first 7:

Good use of Contrast paints and yeah, sometimes you just have to put minis away and hit the pause button on them.
