Are you sick of hills yet?

Here's the final installment - A large hill that is cut down the middle so it can be a single large hill, or 2 at the edges of the battlefield:



I've also made a lot more progress on my Cerastus Lancer:



Not much left to do on him now, just the banners, decals, base and gluing his arm on

Next up, the remaining Uruk Hai crossbows...

The lancer is coming along nicely! The Malcador is pretty cool as well.

Great stuff, lovely crackling energy on the shield.

The Lancer is looking really nice.

I have finished the 4 remaining Uruk Hai crossbows, and based all 8:



This completes my first 500 point Isengard army!



And takes my 2017 score up to 43!

Next up, an Imperial Guard Sentinel which is very nearly done already

That's a nifty warband. I really like your reddish skin tones-- much better than the black/grey you see in the films.

Cool stuff. War band is looking good.

Nice progress on the Lancers, looks a bit precarious though. Does it have a counter weight to balance it?

Thanks! Actually it's remarkably stable - the foot is pinned to the base with 4 pins, and even if you tip it over about 30 degrees it still goes back up the right way.

That's a very cool Isengard warband there. The crossbowmen look great, and the bases add a lot to them as well.

Today we have my first Imperial Guard Sentinel! Will eventually be a unit of 3...

My Fire Wasps knight lancer is complete at last!




I also completed a 2nd of the Curious Constructs lascannons:




And the counter goes up to 54

A bit more terrain today, building up for the LOTR journey book scenarios.

These rocks are used in various scenarios as obstacles, the tops of barrow wights' barrows, and later on to support walkways in Moria!



Later on there will be 4 and 5 level versions of these too...

Very impressive work on the Knight-Lancer. Are you concerned about his stability (or that he'll break with all that weight on the one thin leg? Regardless, it's a cracking piece of work!

Great to see you cracking on with the LotR stuff as well. The rocks have a nice look to them and will no doubt look even better on the table.

He is really remarkably stable, and the joints seem strong - however I'm not sure I'd want to try and transport it...

I was planning to paint my first Fellowship models, but found I needed to order a couple more paints.

So in the meantime I churned out a few more Uruk Hai



I have a list of all the models I need up to the end of the Two Towers journey book, not many more Uruks to go now...

Groovy. Having a project (like the LotR quest books) to finish has really given you focus.

I got Samwise Gamgee done

2 versions, one for early scenarios and one with elven cloak.

Welcome back. Those Nazgul are great. I especially like the horse on the right with the complicated bridle. Also, the use of blue rather than grey for the cloaks is an inspired choice that I will have to borrow sometime soon.

I need to work on my photography a bit - the green isn't quite that colour, but nor is it the colour it showed in the photos I tried without flash. I do quite like it, though

Nice work. I don't think I've ever seen a sentinel with a plasma gun/missle combination. Is that official?
