I'd definitely accept them because they look AWESOME!

As others have said though, Stormbolters are usually Twin-barrelled, but give them Drum mags and they'll be ace. Use them as standard for normal bolters, with drum-mags for stormbolters and with underbarrel GLs for GLs, Scopes and extended barrels for Sniper Rifles and Chainsword bayonets for... Well... Because they're just cool dammit That would be an awesome army....

Very cool looking guns, stick 2 of them together and I would accept that they are stormbolters

Slight tangent, but ph34r, thank you for reminding me again why I don't drill my barrels. The model on the left looks good, the one on the right has holes which tilt, and the middle gun's holes are awful. If mine aren't all perfect I would lose my mind, so I leave them hole-less. LOL.

Back to the topic. I feel like with the Inquisition, it may be better to convert / build a gun that is kinda like a SB, but not. They have their wacky special technologies and whatnot, so I say build something that looks different (so long as it won't be confused with a regular bolter). I made my own meltaguns for my acolytes and I like how they turned out, so maybe I should figure out how to do an Inq version of a storm bolter...

In a friendly game, yes, in a tournament, those are not stormbolters, so no.

Also, I know you said you wanted to make this tourney legal. If you use parts from other manufacturers that automatically means you cannot use the models in a tournament.

Honestly Storm Bolters are supposed to look unwieldy in regular dudes hands, they are designed for terminators after all.

I assume you will be using unmodified humans?

Why not take two lasguns, file down the inside between the two and go from there? I imagine this being much more cost effective and achievingcomparable results. There's more else besides that needs doing ,like takign the drum feed off of the grenade launcher and popping it onto your "storm-las"...

Is that true? Obviously for non-GW tournaments that cannot be true, but even for GW ones I thought there was some leeway

Or for Grey Knights in power armor. If GK can get those, which are smaller compared to all the other kinds, whose to say what storm bolters the inquisition could have?

Yup, something like this seems the easiest solution.

One handed looks ridiculous but the 2 handed hold that model has isn't too bad.

I would accept those for stormbolters if every single one of them was used as a stormbolter. Even without the drum mag they look pretty sweet, but if it were me, i would go all the way and slap it on there,

Ugggh, the paint and modeling on those looks so awesome, and it's totally offset by the gun being as big as the dude. I honestly like the job you did on the two handed one. I think I'm gonna try out a couple options, stormbolter, anvil industries carbine the double bolt pistol melding.

LOL. I'm totally in agreement with you. The two-handed look isn't really terrible, but it's still not great. The problem is that if you're basing your conversion on Cadians as most do, you're stuck with only one proper supporting hand per sprue. I partially worked around this by utilizing the crossbow arms on the Empire sprues, but there aren't enough and it's still kind of clumsy:

To be fair, the meltagun looks like crap too.

Part of it is the perspective of the photo, but we're really at GW's mercy here. I wanted to be 100%, no shenanigans legal here so I used the official bits. I'm not happy with it and I'll be doing another set that aren't completely legit but will look better. If someone calls me out for riding dirty for using that, I can always sub in the legit (and uglier) models.

They don't look quite as bad at tabletop distances, but they still look kind of silly. Those stormbolters are huuuuuge.

I'll leave it on the opposing player and the TO, but as silly as this is, there can be no official problem with it. Everything is 100% GW. So that's something I guess.

I agree with most people, that a storm bolter needs two barrels. In the GK codex, it even says that stormbolters resembled two boltguns side-by-side. So above else, I think that is the most important think you want.

well, they aren´t pretty bad (considering how mad the inquisition techies are ), but the fact that they´re no GW prods makes them unusable on tournaments, so, as it was said before, the cheapest and best-looking (but also the hardest to make) are the storm-las, you´ll need for each: 2 lasguns, some kind of drum-2 bolter chargers-2 ammo traks..., a hand that fits as grabbing it, a cutterr, glue, some paste and some imagination, and you´ll have your own not-so-bulki two-handed storm-bolters whose look actwally matches the IG, but be sure to be patient.
Ah, and a last thing: ALLWAYS TWO-BARRELED, they were originaded when a g-damn caos freak puted together 2 bolters to have more g-damn firepower, and they have to look like 2 bolters alltogether or at least two weapons struck together!

I don´t suffer from MADNESS...
I enjoy it at every moment!!!!!!

I use these as bolters in my marine army. they are not much bigger than bolters really and I would not consider them to really look right as a storm bolter.

I would accept this as an adequate counts as Storm Bolter. The double gun barrels really does the trick especially in terms of how Storm Bolters work.

I think they are fine. I'm really loose on WYSIWYG. I'm all for people using proxies and using conversions. As long as my opponent lets me know what everything is beforehand I'm cool with it.
