I didn't notice any problems with games filling up this during this past n7 weekend. Although this weeks balance update is a bit sparse, the return of them plus N7 weekends after a month break should bring some more people back as well.

I'm finally about to start playing Mass Effect 3 (yay). Any tips on how to set up an ME3 run that will get the best sets of endings (IE highest war score) out of a paragon run?

The answer is... depends. What choices did you make with the Maelon in ME2? What did you do with the geth heretics in ME2?

I'm starting over from the start of ME1 for this run, either with a Sentinel or Adept.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

I love the multiplayer. Whenever I use vanguard I can't help but scream "The emperor protects!" whenever I biotic charge. I play on xbox. if anyone wants to play with me, let me know.

I saved the Rachni Queen on my first Paragon run, well before ME2 or ME3 where we knew that it would carry over.

I dunno, I couldn't bring myself to kill it, knowing what I did from the datalogs.

I'm still on ME3 sometimes...

also Mel,

Talk to Wrex after every mission, get his family armour and defuse Virmire, you need Wrex in 2/3

In 2 make sure you do all loyalty missions before the reaper IFF, your next mission after that should be legions loyalty quest, then the crew will all survive.

It all boils down to Upper left blue the out of everything and do side missions before the main quest whenever you can

I saved the Rachni Queen. In fact you should if you're looking for the best ending. She gives you points I believe.

Amusingly enough, I did that in my original run.

Although ME2 felt way too rushed to me :/ I was unsure how much sidequest I could do in that game...

If you kill Wrex on Vermire (which I do on purpose, I love watching Ashley shoot him 3 extra times after he is on the floor) and side with the Salerians you get better results as you get the Krogan, the Salaraians, Mordin, and Wreav to support you.

In my first playthrough I had Wrex alive and I still got the best result even siding with the Salarians. (However thats not recomended. You loose like 100 points this way, if, like me you think the Genophage was a good idea, just kill Wrex on Vermire. Or save him just for that awsome scene on the Citadel when he fights you)

I'd prefer to cure the genophage, but then again, I fail at being a renegade entirely...

There's a few loyalty missions you should do first. I think they are Tali's, Samara's and Zaeed's. If you wait to long the bonus paragon/renegade points you've acquired through ME1 will "decay" and you won't get all the options.

Tali and Samara's loyalty missions are key. Zaeed's is good, but not entirely necessary.

what option do you miss? Tali's is like the second to last one I do and I never had an issue

but seriously, just do all the loyalty missions. They are all easy to complete. It doesnt even matter how you complete Legions if you are a good paragon because both ways are worth the same amount of points

I dont play Renegade, Im mostly paragon but I simply cant accept the Krogans being cured. They are monsters

Ya, actually I think hers is ok, its the ones where your squadmates make you choose between them.

Spoiler:
Like Jack and Miranda. There's another showdown like that iirc.

Miranda and Jack and Legion and Tali both have confrontations once you complete both their loyalty missions.

If you have a high enough paragon/renegade score you can keep both of their loyalties, otherwise you will have to choose.

Moridin and Grunt was suppose to have one also but it was cut.

I would recomend the opposite, I save Tali and Legion for the very end because I know they require a high score to do it. Save it last and there wont be a problem. That confrontation between Tali and Legion is literally the last thing I do before I start the suicide mission.

Oh here is a big one. Do not get the Reaper IFF until you have done EVERYTHING ELSE. Once you start the mission the rest of the game is on a hidden timer so save that last

Yes, but counterintuitively your paragon points don't "build up" as you progress thoughout the game especially if you import an ME1 save. The taper down unless you make 100% paragon or renegade decisions. Basically the paragon/renegade rpg system was broken in ME2. There's wikis that explain this better than me.

Wait what? Ive never had an issue with any Paragon decision and I had a lot of Renegade points also (by end game maybe 25-30%)

This is weird

I don't want to get into the whole thing especially if you didn't have any problems anyway. But basically you start the game at 100% paragon and Renegade points (unless you imported a save then it's like 2000%) and work you way down from there. For example, on your first choice you are given a red, blue and neutral option. If you pick blue you will now be 1/1 blue and 0/1 red. So you are effectively 100% blue at that point and 0% red. Certain conversion options are based on your percentage. A really high one is usually 75%. The denominator increase for every choice you make. The red and blue bars filling up in your character screen are actually meaningless. It's just a visual thing.
However like I said before you get bonus points for your work in ME1. So you can actually start out at like 40/1.
Trust me, I involuntarily had to test this out and redo my game a few times to get the best ending in ME2.
Anyway, if you didn't have any problems and everyone lived in your ME2 game you're doing it right and just do that again.

Maybe "broken" isn't the right word but it has flaws. Especially, when you're trying to make a "perfect run". Not everyone is concerned about that.

I do think it discourages role playing though. For example, neutral option is always a bad choice because it increases the denominator but neither numerator but y'know ...... sometimes I'm neutral on stuff.

Deep Frier of Mount Doom

A bit too much effort for me personally. I just did my first play through on all 3 with my normal strongly good leaning character (with the occasional renegade choice... that damn krogan preacher above the propane tank was just too much to pass up!) and my second playthrough with the character that I describe as my blonde femshep space nazi. She's not necessarily evil but she will always choose the choice that just moderately benefits humanity even if it completely screws over some innocent alien race. That gave me enough variety throughout 99% of the trilogy (excluding of course the otherwise identical but color coded original ending).

New N7 weekend event starting today that flies in the face of common sense. Instead of booting cheap gamers with low levels and no gear from gold games, I'm searching them out since the goal this week is to get a revive medal for the commendation pack. Viva la crappy xbox playerbase!
