I downloaded it yesterday but haven't played it yet, I'm still engrossed with Dragon Age: Origins

Hmm, I'm finding the single player of citadel slightly bugged.

Though you can change weapons, the actual graphics to let you do it normally are missing, so you need to use the arrow keys.

What platform, PC?

Yeah, rebooted a couple of times and it fixed itself. I guess it's to do with going to the weapons screen before you do missions where you actually get other weapons

Ah, now I remember why I liked ME2 more than ME1.

The fething elevator bug.

Ah well. I got through Noveria anyway, about to get to Virmire.

So...
Spoiler:
I understand that there's a way to save the Salarian, Major Kirrahe, and that he has an impact on ME3-- how do you save him?

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Spoiler:
You'll have side missions and the option to disable a security system - do those. More details here

Also, its only a POTENTIAL for him to play a big role in ME3. Other decisions effect if he simply does a one liner or if he gives a full speech or if he is a badass.

If you are playing on PC you can just use the save game editor to make the outcome be what you want if you goof anything up.

Why does that matter?

Maybe some people prefer to play the game to experience things first hand and to immerse themselves in that world for a while, spending five minutes in a save editor removes that element.

Or maybe you would like to play the game naturally instead of following a rigid path for an optimal ending?

And why should someone "cheating" in a single player game matter to anyone else?

Me in particular, or the person asking for help? I'm asking because I don't recall advising someone to follow a rigid path of any sort of ending. Someone had a query and I helped. How is suggesting that someone use a save editor playing "the game naturally"?

I'm not sure how you managed to get that from my comment that "some people prefer to play the game to experience things first hand and to immerse themselves in that world for a while".

What exactly was the point of your post? Was it simply to be a contrarian?

Because being annoyed that someone uses a save game editor is unnecessary interference and opinionating over an individual's decisions in a single player game.

ME requires you to make certain choices for a "perfect ending." Making some of those choices may result in decisions that don't align with your character's personality or moral code. In some cases possible choices are severely limited by technology. The save game editor allows you to get the ending you want without making OOC in game choices simply for the sake of a perfect ending.

I could ask you the very same question but I think that the thread would just end up derailed

I'm not annoyed. In fact I don't care. What I said was that "some people", it was a general statement. Not "I". Not "the game must only be played this way". I'm not certain how you got "unnecessary interference and opinionating" out of that

The you don't have to choose them if you don't want to, you are not obliged to play the game in a particular manner. That is why there are multiple endings. My point is why bother to play the game if you just use a gamesave?

Again, why do you care how someone else choose to play the game?

It's a complete nonissue, but apparently it really bothers you.

You may have missed this so I'll repeat it,

What I am curious about was your misrepresentation of my words and trying to subscribe arguments to me that I haven't made.
