I urge people participating in the event to double check their list especially if your using double force org. That means if you use double force org. your minimum 2 HQ's and 4 troops. Just thought I would mention this so someone doesnt accidentally show up with an illegal list. Looking forward to gaming with some old friends.

The 56th will make an appearance but they will not be alone... With the rising threat in the universe higher thought it wise to take a few detachments to help level the playing field. I will post my list up the Wednesday before the event. Its been finalized I just dont wanna give you all too much of a headstart on gaming planning it. haha!

We still have at least 10 tickets available for this event. That isnt counting the local crowd that might show up day of the event so if you have any buddies who still wanted to attend the event give them a shout out it is gonna be a real fun time. If we get down early enough on friday night I might be up for a game of 40k or play some Dust Warfare if anyone is interested. It's good to see tickets selling and locals still waiting right now. There are 4 of us driving down from Minnesota and a possible 5th. I might have missed this already but are objective markers provided or do we have to bring them?

Objective markers will be provided. However, if you have your own objective markers you wanna bring as long as they are standard and the same size then I dont see an issue. I will get back to you on the friday night bit. Got to talk to the guys.

Alright just heard back about friday night.

So were going to have a pre party starting at 6 pm on 9.14.2012. Come out try out the tables and help set up. The convention is $5 for the whole weekend so it gives you a great oppurtunity to get signed up early and beat the rush on saturday morning.

This way you get signed up for the event and you can meet some of the players as well as some of the judges if you had some questions about how some things are gonna be ruled etc....

The new GW FAQ's are up and look pretty good so far. Are you going to change from the NOVA FAQ to the new GW FAQ for the tournament?

We use the GW FAQ first always. Followed by any others.

So the GW FAQ will be the FAQ in affect and if the issue isnt answered in the GW FAQ we will refer to the NOVA FAQ or a judge will make the call.

Im actually playing in the event and helping with set up. I am apart of the Kansas city group that is hosting it so I offered to help promote it here on dakka and other sites. All the rules questions posted to me here I run through the actual judges to verify the answer and then post it back here.

With the tournament 5 days away I got the following check list to help double check to make sure you have everything you need.


A precheck list for people that are strongly recommended and some required.

8 Army list (6 for opposing players, 1 for judges, 1 for yourself)
your army books FAQ & rulebook faq (just to have on hand if anything is questioned saves time as judges not needed)
Bag of dice
Tape Measure
Frostreaver name and Email you used to sign up (For registration)
40k 6th Edition Rulebook
Army books for your army and allied armies if applicable
Your Army
Your weekend badge (can be purchased on site)
A good friendly attitude

There are four of us coming down from MN.

I didn't get a response on the facebook page on how the ruling for necron flyers will be handled with the crash and burn rule. Will they just go into reserves when the nightscythe is destroyed as the necron codex states or will they take the hits from having the transport destroyed before they go back into reserves?

They will make a ruling tomorrow morning just find derek one of the judges and he wants to look over verbage to verify it then he will most likely rule in favor of reserves without damage being inflicted. But just ot be sure have him check it out in the morning.
