My thoughts exactly. The goggles on the fat guy, please don't change them...it gives him a crazed look, which imo fits well with the description you gave him. Maybe make a little teddybear for him to keep him company. Kinda like this one?
Keep making these lovely conversions Bruticus

Love the Ephrael she has that edge of death feel just using out, if she is actually a she
I like the ragged cloth aspect mixed with the DV cultist head, great mix of parts
The cyber-scorpion is a little strange creation but interesting, although I think a little finishing work around the claws is needed just blend.
A rather creepy chirugeon your words not mine I just love this model it has every aspect of horror in one model, mechanics, mutation, cybernetics and obesity
I have to disagree with the eyes myself, although a little cartoonish I think with a dash of paint these will blend in with the aesthetics of the rest of the model nicely.
The tubing is great this is one model that has been enhanced with the over use of cables, due to his lack of movement he needs the added use of apparatus just to live.
I am not sure as to what is going on though with the front of his stomach with the mix of plastic parts and glue ? ALthough I am sure this is still work in progress.
Also the where the hands meet the necron legs need something to bulk the join, they look like they might just snap under the weight.
Great stuff looking forward to the painted finished models now.

I've got a bit carried away with this model and am not sure how much more I should add. I was considering adding some servo arms but I think they get a bit distracting and he is already quite a lot to take in.
I'm trying to do quite a different take on the Dark Mechanicus rather than the daemon engine / evil machine type that is more usual because I think Meade has pretty much done that look perfectly and I wouldn't have anything to add there. Guitarasmus too.

Wow, the three new guys have really caught my attention! the Iron Warrior is great; I've always loved the idea of a space marine going 'feral' or similar. It's not really seen at all, but it's such a cool concept. He's fantastically converted too; the hammer and shield are great! I'd be excited to find out whose team he's on; being separated from humanity for such a long time, it's anyone's guess!
The first of your two Dark Mechanicus is brilliant! If it ever was a lady, it lost that a long time ago; probably even before it became corrupted by chaos; I feel in the Adeptus Mechanicus, differentiation between lads and lasses doesn't really occur. It's delightfully twisted, like some sort of human version of a Haemonculous, but slightly more twisted too! I think the size of her mask adds to the miniature too; it's ungainly and makes the miniature seem disproportioned and creepy! Malformed monsters seem to be all the rage for you at the moment, because your second Mechanicus is possibly even more perverse than the first! A giant bloated man on top of a throne propelled forward on cybernetic limbs ending with real hands? Chilling! I think the goggles look great too; I wouldn't worry about it looking cartoonish; by the time it's painted, he'll look horribly sinister, just like everything else you've converted!
Also, you seem to be a dab hand at greenstuffing cloaks, and shawls, and the like. Do you have any advice on how you make these?

He was definitely a bit inspired by Mojo. I think Mojo made a real impression on me as a kid, there I was happily watching brightly coloured X-Men and suddenly this obese thing with no legs and hooks holding his eyes open was in my cartoons and comics. Traumatising.
I don't really have any good advice on sculpting cloaks sorry, I don't think I can do it very well personally. I use a clay shaper to smooth the stuff, and recently I like to pull the GS to tear it so it looks ragged. That's about it!
The stuff on his lap - that will all become clear in time.

Here is the first of the Dark Mechanicus Chimerics. These are genetically altered beasts, usually an animal - chosen for it's aggressive nature or other suitable trait - is combined with human or space marine DNA in an attempt to breed a type of super soldier. These creatures generally burn themselves out as their bodies cannot cope with the demands and strain of the rapid genetic mutation. The pens of the Dark Mechanicus genators are filled with assorted animals waiting to be turned into these abominations.
I've been wanting to build a swineotaur for ages and this was a good excuse. It's a minotaur with the head from a boar (and resculpted feet - they have awful feet usually). And then lots of extra added gribbly stuff. Plus he looks a bit like a grimdark Rocksteady.

Ah, you even anatomicized him, nice set of balls there! And quite a grotesque creation you have there; flesh melded into weaponry is always a winning formula.
I've always liked the idea of a Swineotaur too, it's such a cool idea haha! I think my only word of warning on these Chimerics, make sure they have their own distinct 'Dark Mechanicus' style to them, otherwise they might fall into the pit trap of just looking like Clan Moulder stuff. I know they're similar in intent and idea, but I feel Mechanicus, despite being grizzley and disgusting, would be slightly more Suave and sophisticated in their flesh meddling.
Just something to consider!

Hmm I hadn't considered Clan Moulder but you are right, it is something else I want to avoid. My main ambition was for them not to look like a Dark Eldar beast or Chaos deamon/spawn. I've tried to steer clear of tentacles and other such things. I think maybe the next creature will need to have something more recognisably mechanicus so they they don't look too much like Skaven mutants.

all your models are great dude, ALL, and that last one matches perfectly as a chimera (thought it reminds me of the evil warriors of the winter queen in narnia ) i think i´ll also try the rat-ogre pit slave too, cuz it´s one of the best ideas i´ve ever seen posted ever, and the pants are great xD, anyway, keep the good work! Automatically Appended Next Post: PD: some questions about the genetor:
1-Is it a he or a she?, because it somewhat looks like a woman, but just thinking that that could be a woman makes me really confuse (normally all femenine models/conversions are somewhat, you knou, femenine, even the daemonic or mechanicus ones, but that one´s just disturbing )
2- has it/he/she got a pact or something in relation to nurgle?, i ask this primarly because of the three-eyes pattern, most nurgle minis use that eye-shape but also some of the dark mechs have it so it´s confusing...
and a last message: please never take off that googles away from faty, they make him look crazed and thats awesome , they somewhat remindd me from this emoticon xD

I think it is possible that it was female once, but the mechanicus are barely human at the best of times, and as a Dark Mechanicus surgeon obsessed with experimenting with genetics, concepts like gender probably seem quaint and old fashioned to him/her. Who knows what it looks like under those bandages and that hood? Who knows if any humanity remains, or if it has all be replaced by implants and grafts?
2- has it/he/she got a pact or something in relation to nurgle?, i ask this primarly because of the three-eyes pattern, most nurgle minis use that eye-shape but also some of the dark mechs have it so it´s confusing...
Considering that the regular Mechanicus shun other gods in favour of their machine god, I think the Dark Mechanicus would see the gods of chaos as a new resource to be exploited. If they can use warp powers to aid experiments then that is just a further advantage to breaking from the narrow minded shackles of the Mechanicus. Sure you can make a decent robot construct, but why limit yourself to that when you can make a far superior daemon engine? So this genetor is no more a servant of Nurgle than any other chaos god, but would not be opposed to using any gifts of Nurgle if they would help with his/her experiments. I think the Dark Mechanicus are closer to Slaanesh than any other god though, after all Fabius Bile was the pioneer of this sort of gene sculpting, when he made his abominations out of captured Space Marines during the heresy. Slaanesh is probably the god that encourages them to greater depravities and further ethical corruption, while the other gods are less interested. Although of course, Khorne loves his daemon engines, I don't think he is so fussed by innovation.
So long story short - no the eyes are just a coincidence.
Where do you get your ideas for these deep characters? These things tend to come naturally but I find I drift in and out and always realise too late to harness it. If only I could spot the triggers, do you get ideas from reading or watching films, or maybe just everyday life?
Well books and comics are probably the big two. Comics especially have a way of creating intense characters in a short space of time. But lifting ideas from various sources and combining them when they seem to fit is as good a way as anything else I have discovered. Mojo from X-Men used to freak me out so I made a fat guy in a walking chair. I really had a strong image of the chair quite carelessly pulling things apart like the golden monkey from The Golden Compass so I gave it hands. And to make it fit with the Dark Mechanicus he needed to be making things, and there is nothing creepier than a fat guy making living dolls for whatever horrible purpose so that seemed to fit together well. Maybe a splash of Toy Man from DC comics and Baron Harkonnen from Dune.
Usually the model tells most of the story though, like Tsengir who I made from Fabius Bile because he had such a well-sculpted face. I wanted to add some background from The Count of Monte Cristo (my favourite book) but in the end a lot of that seemed unnecessary. The swineotaur was inspired by someone else's work on a similar model, plus the fact that pigs freak me out (the upcoming game A Machine For Pigs will be right up my street).
Oh and Silent Hill and Lovecraft come into it as well I guess.

Thank you for answering me question in such detail!
In future I'll endeavour to be more analytical about things that I find inspiring. If I can nail down why I enjoy something I think it'll be easier to draw on later. Do you keep a inspiration wall or folder or is it all in your noggin? I keep it all in my head but I think I misplace most of it that way!

Yeah just take a concept or idea that you like and transplant it into 40k. This Dark Mechanicus stuff only clicked when I started thinking of The Island of Doctor Moreau, after that the various bits and bobs could all tie together. The hard bit is finding ways to link various ideas - like I made a swineotaur ages ago but had no idea what to do with him. Nowadays I just make whatever I feel like. I don't have any inspiration walls or anything. I have a desk covered in half finished ideas though - various bits blu-tacked together.

The only thing I miss is the bits.
I collected only orkz and that bring It to have a small selection of usable parts (even if in the first INQ28 Mini I did I used a piece from a Kan that just called my attention)
A couple of SM and CSM figures around and a lot of vehicles parts.
Not much for a proper travel down Inquisimunda alley.
Planning to get a couple of boxes from GW to get more opportunity of mixing and matching (plus a Kroot squad already on its way to my place) .
What do You suggest?
