This battle report / game discussion covers an exciting River Run! Please check it out!

Nice work. These Table Fable lessons are old hat for folks who have been mixing brands, eras, rules, etc for years, but it's great to see examples in-print from gaming companies.

I have an entire gaming club that's based around Sci-Fi and Fantasy gaming with generic gaming systems with whatever miniatures we choose. I really hope that Fanticide is released soon so that we can incorporate a couple games of it into our summer fantasy campaign which is mostly being played with Song of Blades and Heroes.

How do you get this book for the game?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

This is some really great stuff.

Harkens back to the old school basic D and D days.

Love the minis. How long do they take to get from flash to bang, as far as I pay for the guys, How long to get them?

I'd really love to get in on some of these. If for anything to upgrade, and revisit old school D and D.

Those Trolls really take a guy back.

Where are those darned D and D cartoons at!!!!!

Seems interesting. I'd likely set up a couple of old-school chaos warbands with my old RoC-era chaos figures and some of the newer ones, along with all of the other fantasy figures I've bought over the years (despite not playing Fantasy Battles) simply because they looked nice.

I have SO MANY Dark Elves that have stopped getting play time due to various reasons. Would happily bring 30-40 out for a game like this.

First, how did I miss this?

Second, wow. What a line up of names. Also: "whimsically grim", "lots of off colour jokes" and "parental discretion is advised"!

Third, I'm in. Where do I put my money?

And forth. What's happening lately? Old GW gaming celebs returning with some tasty products? Alessio and some of the old guard with Mantic, Mike McVey with Sedition Wars and now Rick/Andy/Alessio with this! Time to ebay off even more GW models to fund these new shiney's!

One of the big factors with Fanticide is the Card based initiative system. This allows for very dynamic gameplay. It also incorporates an Event deck that has cards added to the initiative deck for events to take place each turn. The magic system allows for manipulation of the deck through Time magic and others that can provide many tactically challenging scenarios.

Sad to say that is where you lost me. Im all for new ideas in gaming, but to me this sounds like playing a CCG and minis game at the same time...and Ive got no interest in card games.

I will give you big credit for the creation system...my current favorite 28mm game has one, and thats a big part of its appeal...along with good rules.

Whats my game?

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. We have been furiously working on all the final additions to the game and it is on the horizon! We have just unveiled the Creeps warband and I wanted to make sure you guys saw them:

A game that would pop out flying moneys and gibbering eyeballs, should as a matter of course have violent lawn gnomes.

Still interested.... kinda even more so, now.

How do those guys come in a set, the armies for this game, so far, by the army, box, sprue, or ?

All in all, pretty cool loking guys. May have to get some extras for some Pulp City.

Honestly, the only thing I can think to say about the Creeps is "like a Beholder, but worse." The Brownie cavalry are good, and the other Fae and Centaurs have potential (except for the treemen), but there's nothing in the other two factions I like.

They're going to be metal so not by the sprue, at least.

The stuff about the game itself (especially the use whatever models you like for Chaos Warband-esque fun) appeals to me. The models, less so.

Yeah, I haven't really liked any of the models I've seen so far, but I like who is involved in the project and I like the artwork from the Ancible review and the setting sounds fun, so, I'm hoping that the game plays well and the warband creation rules are great.

Eventually I hope they make some models I'm interested in, but till then, I've got plenty of random things I can use and have wanted to use.

I have a buddy who wants to play warhammer 8th, but being able to create a warband would probably appeal to him so I'm thinking about seeing if he'd be interested in playing.

I'm also not terribly interested in the models so far. Fun sculpts, but not really my thiing.

However, outside of 40k, I don't worry about using a game's prescribed models. As long as the rules end up being good and have a good mechanism for statting up your own warbands, I'll still be buying this.

Now that I am older this seems, after several hours of research, to potentially be what I want in a new game. The characters are whimsical, sort of "Pan's Labyrinth" on a strange trip and do indeed hearken back to old school D&D aesthetics and character. The fact the crew encourages warband creation and use of various miniature lines is even more appealing.
I feel I "get" what they are trying to do, and in a time of serious games that just feel redundant to me this is a welcome breath of fresh air from nowhere.

Keep up the info and preview pix, and thanks to the Alien Dungeon crew for doing something fun and boldly different.

We are looking for people who are excited about Fanticide and miniature war gaming to help us promote and sell Alien Dungeon products.

The War Host program is now hiring people who are enthusiastic, not afraid to sell, and want to be part of the Alien Dungeon team.

The program is simple; Demonstrate the product to people, sell the product to people, and put a percentage of every sale you make into your own pocket.

You have the ability to sell to retailers as well. You could make a little money to fund your hobby or a lot of money to spend however you want! It is up to you.

If you are interested send an email to drew@aliendungeon.com (who is handling the program)

I LOVE Ian Miller. I have a copy of Ratspike, signed (only by John Blanche, but I would give an arm to get Ian Miller to sign it too)
