Has anyone else tried logging onto the EU servers?
Miller was listed as "Very Busy" last night, but was unplayable.
I picked a cert upgrade, and it took 10 seconds to respond.
Later on, I got run over by a tank, and ran on for about 15 seconds before my health noticed :(
And, waiting 20 minutes to log on. It was enough to make me sign up....

The Cobolt server has been running perfectly for me apart from having it load 3 times while waiting for deployment. But this only takes seconds so I dont mind.
Miller I think is screwed at the moment :/

I havn't had any server issues so far, a bit of lag here and there but I'm guessing that is something to do with me downloading games via steam while playing.

I will admit its deffo a game that needs a squad or an outfit to be a load of fun, I dont have an outfit yet as I don't know anybody on my server.

I do not like how long it takes to get Certs though, if they had a separate resource for guns(and I don't mean the Station Cash) which is faster to earn then it would be better.

Other than that I'm impressed my computer can handle it without many FPS drops.

Yeah without a group of people it's pretty boring, there's very little team work and zero communication.

It does take about a minute to create a group and start inviting people so I can see your problem

That looks awesome... waaaaant....

Although, it did look a lot faster paced than i imagined, thought it would be more tactical, like beseiging the base and slowly advancing under cover rather than a seemingly uncontested charge across no-man's land. It looked like a real clusterfeth when y'all had like 20+ guys hunkered down behind that rock.

Well, it is slower, usually

What just happened is there is this base up on a mountain called the crown, we broke the seige and everyone defending zerg rushed the outpost under the mountain across the bridge, thus, the massive rush, lol

It tends to be much more realistic to an assault in reality time wise, I have spent over an hour before now inching my way through with about 80 guys to take a tech centre.

Is their a dakka squad or something? Cause I'm starting this game tomorrow and want to be in a team.

not that I know of, like I said I'm on matherson, the enclave is a HUUUGE outfit on that server for TR and has pretty minimal joining requirements if you are looking for an outfit

Am I being optimistic if I hope that the game'll be further optimised? Or should I cough up the cash and just buy a new PC? I run at about 40-50fps in the Warp Gates but if I end up in an Amp Lab or any other 'close' large engagement, it sinks to 20fps...

Bit distressing since my Processor, a Phenom II X6 should surely work a bit better?

turn on gpu physics, go into phyx and set the processor to GPU, set draw distance to 1000, flora to 0 shadows to 0 in the INI file

Currently it is only really optimized for Nvidea but they are working on AMD drivers as well.

Ya I run the game fine unless the game even thinks there is an enemy near by, oh god the game lags like mad when that happens.


Thankfully I play a medic so I just run around healing/reviving people so it doesnt hurt the team

Any of you guys NC on Waterson? Im thinking of joining an outfit, and I'm wondering if any dakkanauts have made one yet.

Playing on Jaeger with 5-6 friends atm, wouldn't mind hitting it up with some fellow dakkanauts here. I'm on TR. We're few and far in between, for the tactics that favor TR, but still clutching on to dear victory. Could use a few hands/bodies though, for the meatgrinder

Created a TR character on Jaeger (which seems to be dominated by the VS) a little while ago (was it 2 hours?).

I like the game so far (though I tended to die a lot, maybe I should have watched the tutorials), but it definitely would be better with a functional squad or outfit. Anyone know of a good TR outfit on Jaeger that is relatively easy to join?

Which file is this one, i tired to look, but is it one of the application extensions?

Youll have to google it i dont know which ini file offhand.

I am also looking into making a squad for dakka dakka people who play Planetside 2. Im am chiefly on Waterson as NC, but i have a SolTech TR player that others can find. This is still in the planning stages. Your comments as to whether or not such an idea is good will drive this initiative further.

Wouldn't mind being part of a Dakka Dakka outfit. I'm currently playing TR (hate the bastard Vanu) on Connery. Been deploying fairly randomly across the continents and been enjoying playing Heavy/Medic/Engineer or Lightning.

I think a Dakka outfit might be too difficult to make, alot of us are on different servers. Im on Ceres as NC.

Is it bad I chose to go NC purely because of the bad ass music for them in the character creation screen?

Not a fan of the yellow/blue armour though.

I'm not sure if I will like this game long term. I enjoyed the beta, mostly but I'm not sure if its the kind of thing that will keep my interested.

I will be playing in a large outfit that I joined through another forum though, hopefully that will make things more interesting.

It would be nice if the servers was more stable. I just spawned about 50 meters behind an enemy sunderer and was happily reaping nasty NC types for a full minute before the server went down. I did get off one wonderful grenade though

Well according to the ingame FPS thingymajig I am CPU-bound in the big fights... so my graphics ain't what's responsible.

At any rate, I came across these two fixes... my FPS has gone up by about 10 frames in big fights (from 19-22 to around 29-32).
