I can beat that, people waiting till Liberators of spawn, and then taking a fighter, and using it to flip it on it's back, making it completely useless, as it's impossible to flip back.

Ok guys it's up, on cobalt I'm cprapostle and the outfit is DAKKADAKKA TERRAN MILITIA. I'm at esamir listening post saerro and am struggling against a vanu invasion!

I will be creating a character for the Dakka outfit, but I won't be playing all that much until January, because of a lot of papers due soon and finals coming.

Annoyingly I can't name a character just Seric (all online games seem to have a 6 character minimum), so I will likely be Seric1.

Anybody on right now? I'm trying to join the outfit but it seems Dark Apostle is currently offline.

I did try it... no change to my FPS.

Anyone part of the massive, massive push into Vanu territory? I lost count of the amount of tanks, and there were easily a good 50 Mosquitos and Gunships.

On cobalt, we lost over half our ground tonight. Good to see a counter-offensive being launched!

I mostly play medic/heavy assault so whatever squad I would fit in would do.

EDIT: Now that I think about it I think ill just pass on Planetside 2, I seem to be completely crap at the game. I try assaulting, it fails. I try defending, it fails. Heck I can't even kill somebody half the time in 1v1 even as a NC heavy. I'v spent around 11 hours or so in game so I have tried but I don't see me playing it anytime soon.

It's because of the lack of a punch, the motto of planetside is bigger. Is. better. And for a good reason, a single soldier cannot win an assault, it takes a gak ton of people AND teamwork, normally this never happens and an enemy platoon walk right through you, this is the one of two reasons I made the dakka dakka outfit, so we can form a fist for the so far dieing Terran republic. If we want this to work then we are going to act fast and we need Everyman we can get, so johnscott, will you join us?

The LMG for NC Heavies has more recoil than the other factions but also more damage per shot. You have to shoot in controlled bursts.

You may also consider using a shotgun as close combat seems to be where NC dominates (Looking at you Scattermax).

I guess I could give it another try, I haven't tried the Vanu yet so maybe they fit my playstyle a bit more.

I must say that I won't be on much come the weekend until further notice, losing my internet until the new year most likely.

NC is rough because their weapons have a larger spread and recoil, you have to have good fire discipline
I highly suggest the medic -S rifle, it has good pretty much everything and low recoil

Always remember to turn on your shield
Remember that strafing and jumping does very little
While confusing, remember how fragile you are, there's alot of times where some random dude finishes me off while I was fighting someone, when I started it sure seemed like the guy I was 1v1ing took no damage, thats no the case.
I Highly, HIGHLY suggest joining the enclave, you have to play TR, download teamspeak, and go through a 15 minute interview (really just watch a video) that basically just goes over how you join the server and how they organize squads, and for you to do as your told, Or another larger, organized group with loose restrictions.
The reason being the fun of the game increases exponentially with how many dudes your main force consists of, your survivability goes WAY up, you usually have medics and ammo available, ect ect.

When in doubt empty your magazine.
Seems like it works in most situations...

NC Guns have alot of Recoil, but have higher damage.

To fix this.. get the GD-22.

Or mod your gun, put a Forward grip on it and it will reduce recoil.

I had Issues with my NC gun's until i put the Forward grip on it.

Basically though.
For NC

Heavy Assault - GD-22 with Forward grip and w/e other mods

Light Assault/Engineer - GD-7F Best NC close combat gun in the game right now.

Medic - I dont play it.

If you still have issues, roll Purple or Red for easy to use guns.

Its a spreadsheet that shows the NC guns Damage per Shot, Rate of Fire, Reload time etc.

other 2 factions it doesnt have the damage per shot for full stats.

Does dakka have a resident expert pilot? I want to get the shock squad up and running so we have a fighting force, and need someone to pilot the galaxy.

If it makes you feel better... NC are generally considered an underdog faction with sub-par weaponry

most weapons are sub par, but each class still has a very nice gun that can compete if people would use it.
