!! The airbrush is our favored weapon, yet that is dubious as to getting the job done!

Attached is an image of the stack-able crates Harry cut last night, perfect for providing cover in those long, empty, lonely, dark, smelly, cold space corridors!

You... just made an industrial tower out of space corridors, didn't you?

BWAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHA!

Here's a look at the artwork for one of the variant acrylic detail parts for the ORB (Organic Receptacle Booth) 2.0, a kerbside vending-machine style booth that the lucky user can climb inside for all sorts of wonderful reasons. Soon to be released (ie as soon as we get them painted), the ORB features a sliding tray and a removable WUHU bin (Waste Unit - Heavy Use) to use as scatter terrain, and will be available in 3 variants; Body Swop Chop Shop for when you want to make a splash at a party with an extra head or exploding eyeballs, Happy Holidays for when you Totally can't Recall when you last had a holiday, and Clever Booth for when you need to learn combat skills in a hurry.

I love silly acronyms

If those stackable crates came with OHP/acrylic pannels they would make pretty cool cryo/plasma/energy crates. A kind of frosted colour, fading towards the edges in either blue or orange would look cool.

And the new corridors are looking impressive. I'm on my phone, but are there any narrow corridors? I think the variation would make it a lot more visually and gamingly interesting.

Also, do the bulk head doors slide up to allow them to be open without just removing the door?

Ed's been modelling up resin and mdf niknaks to fit inside the frames so you can have a variety of filled and empty crates to partially or fully block corridors. We'll show them off once we've got some painted.

There aren't narrow corridors yet, we do have 4x4 enclosed rooms with a variety of entrance layouts to show yet which we'll be releasing as a second wave to add a bit of variety.

And yes the doors slide up out of the bulkhead frames

Here's another pic of the WIP of our first miniature, the mini is about 90% finished here but we should be getting our hands on the greens (though they're actually grey ) of 3 completed minis this weekend, including this guy, so keep an eye out for more pics!

Speaking of miniatures, whatever happened to that Valkyrie conversion kit?

We've called a temporary halt to that for 2 reasons:

1) I broke my CNC

2) It was my first CAD project after a 2 year break and to be honest I'd rather remodel it than persevere with the version it had got to because frankly we can do better now! The proportions of the rotors were a bit off so a bit of a remodel is needed.

Also, we have some doodles of a dropship to go with our miniatures so we may just do a complete kit instead

RE the new figure - I think the helmet is a little bit too blocky. It is hard to tell fom the angle the picture is taken at, but the pose doesn't quite seem right; the left leg should be slightly more bent and the waist twisted (think someone shoulder charging). I would also hope that the shield is going to be held in a better way as a shield that size can't really be held just in the fist like that

Having said that, it looks interesting and I would like to see more.

I thnk there are two interesting sets of figures that could go with your space corridors: Some near-ish future navy/space suited figures (think advanced modern pressure/flight suits - almost a retro look for space figures these days ), and more Infinity type mid-distance future space suited figures.

I'd also be interested in seeing doodles of aircraft - and I think it needs a hanger bay and a launch dock to go with your space corridors - perhaps also a parts and engineering store too

Some other specific rooms I think would be cool would be bunk rooms, C&C room, engineering room and general store rooms (most of those can probably be done with just some furniture?).

Some dry fitting of the corridors before i start messing about with them!

Obv. the models are here for scale purposes only - and what a great job they do! Turns out the corridors are massive and very accessible meaning squads of dudes can happily run a muck! Even walkers and yes, tanks can fit in 'em!

I'm a very happy camper! It's good seeing the detail show through even after paint!

EDIT: these look really good. You will need to put up a painting tutorial when they are released.

That's what my Space Hulk games have been missing - tanks!

Seriously, I like the corridors a lot. I'd keep the rusty look - if nothing else, it helps show off the textured detail.

Looking good as is dude! I like the slightly corroded look you got going on! I mean i'm guessing that space hulk like ship menials will be more interested in keeping a ship running than how clean it is in case someone makes a house call?

the final look is pretty awesome - good for a derilict, or a much older ship that is being used on a really unimportant line for shuttling goods and services far from the glory of its hayday

A painting guide for that look would be much appreciated

Also, how did that grav tank turn around the corner?

Corridors look great. Also, I just realised that if you had got these models done ages ago I wouldn't have to go through so much work for my Necromunda blog.

Bathing in elitist French expats fumes

I like the picture with the plant in the background. Really gives the impression the ship is being overrun with greenery.

An idea we toyed with was to have a 'living room' whereby plants and foliage would be abundant!
