So i must say I got inspired to mod the Tail of one of my stormtalons.
Haven't decided what to do about the missile pods yet.

Here are my pics. one standard next to the mod'ed one for comparison.

If you're really not a fan of the original model, there's no reason to limit yourself to it. This is my WIP, based on a drop pod and an old model kit:

Nice work! Probably the best sleek mod you could have done to that box plane.

Nice work, but... the storm guppy will always remain the stormguppy. I don't see how you can do anything to the orignal model and still make it look good. It physically needs larger wings to look better. The stormguppy is just a terrible horrendous model, and it's clear that the lesson learned from the storm raven was to take everything the customers didn't like, and flip the customers the bird, and give them more of what they didin't like.

I'm not in the least bit fond of insaniak's version of the storm talon, but it looks much better than the armored guppy kit.

I think if I really end up wanting to field this unit, I will just drop a HIND on the table.

Just for reference, and I know it is a Storm Raven, here is what I did with mine utilizing the Chapter House Mods:

While I hated the original Storm Raven I loved the look of the tru-scale kit, looks like a mini Thunderhawk now. If they did something similar with the Storm Talons I could see myself liking them. Until then this is the only Storm Talon I've seen and truly liked:

Of course I am in favor of Helicopter type models, we have none as it is, and I think an Osprey conversion for the Valkyries would be sick.

The A-10 is my favourite twist on the storm talon kit thus far. I'm hoping the creator of the original posts a conversion tutorial eventually.

Great job, you make a great set o nice modifications, and it now looks like something who actually can fly. I liked the ideia of the missiles on top, and those assault cannons now just look like they should. (but i still think they are too pronunced, maybe they should be more "sloted" inside of the nose...

Overall, amazing job...

There's some good conversions here, however, I still don't like most of them to be honest. None of them look like something that should be in the air, lol, at best they look like maybe they should be underwater.

Granted, many Imperial flyers don't look like they should be able to fly, either, but something about the Storm Talon and Storm Raven, they look more like ocean going vessels than space or air vehicles.

Maybe something like a quadrotor would be more to my tastes.

that its very very cool, possibly the best looking ST I have seen - shame I can't take them as I am BA (although, I can also play them as a successor to the other parent I suppose)

And I found a 1:72 Osprey in my old kit box. Its actually as large as a Valk anyway....

Hey Everyone,

ORIGINAL MODEL FOR SALE AS SEEN.

So I just found this thread from ages ago. I still have the model below, in pieces half way through the conversion, exactly as it is shown in the photos. Its going to sit in the box forever, unfinished, which is a shame.
