Just before I disappear off for New Years, I'm after a bit more feedback, this time on an Energy Pistol, between myself and the CAD artist, Jake, we've got a few ideas along a basic theme - based as an upgrade of the Laser-lock Pistol.

I'd be interested to hear peoples thoughts on the designs, specifically which you prefer, or which features of them you prefer if the weapon was instead a combination of the existing concepts.

Hope you all have a great new year!

I like the first and last CAD concepts, maybe because of the enlarged cowling on them.

Having recently purchased a bunch of your Heavy Laser Rifles, i'd love to see some pistol versions of these too

Nice pistols - I really like these! My vote is for number 3.

I'm not seeing much of a difference between CAD 1 and CAD 3, but my choice is those.

Additionally, I'm unsure if it would be a problem in casting, but those pistols would look much better with a "nozzle" of some sort.

I'm back from my winter break, and all previous orders are now shipped and the counter reset. There's one week left on the 10% store discount voucher, a reminder that the code is 'NEWSTORE' and should be entered in your shopping basket ahead of check out!

Cheers for the feedback so far guys, these are still very much work in progress concepts - we want to make sure that the final design is bang on.

VikingChild, you can expect a Pistol version of the Heavy Laser Rifle in the future, and quite possibly a remastered version of the rifle as long as they continue to sell well. Weapons are something I really want to expand on this year.

Absolutionis, dont worry there will be a nozzle as you put it, and further detailing, these are early drafts only.

Just to add to the early CAD concepts, here are two more - any further thoughts on the original ones, or perhaps on these two?

Happy days, that's great news as i must say your rifles are the coolest looking alternate lasguns out there! A pistol version would be sweet for the guard regiment i'm putting together. Also, maybe even heavier versions like a lascannon perhaps?

As to your second batch of CAD concepts i really like the length of these 2 over the original designs, if you took the top weapon and gave it the cowling/muzzle of the bottom one i'd would certainly buy them!

When can we expect the Laslock guns and arms to be released?

A Pistol version is almost a certainty, in as much that I have plans for a sprue of various pistol type weapons.

Lord Castellan, I'd hope to give you a more definate answer on that in the next week or two, I had hoped to make it this month, but due to one final change that is likely that the guns will be February with the guns with arms to follow as quickly as possible after that.

The bike is first, I have the print on my desk right now as I type this!

Also, do you think that the Small Roman or Spartan Crests sold by Anvil Industries would fit onto the Life Guard heads, or will some Green Stuffing be needed?

Hmmm good question, I honestly could'nt say for sure as I don't have any of the anvil bits or marine heads to compare the outline of the curve. I reckon they could be though with a little clipping, filing and filing.

Another little preview, just to keep people interested while I'm busy sculpting away on the bike rider and a few other bits and pieces.

This is a work in progress preview of the Anti-Tank Laser which Kit from Zinge Industries is working on for me. I'm anticpating that this will be a Kickstarter type project which will hopefully kick off soon. Please do note, the carriage in this picture is just a place holder.

Lord Castellan, to be honest Legs are not something on my radar at the moment, largely because there are alternatives out there and I'd rather concentrate on some new bits. I will do legs - just not yet.

The Anti-Tank Laser looks fine. Be sure to also do a choice of alternative mountings (e.g. for vehicles) and a choice of gun carriages. And of course a choice of heavy weapons to fit those same mountings and carriages...

Alternative mountings for vehicles? What sort of thing have you got in mind Clang?

I'm only really planning on this Heavy Carriage, and possibly a digital remastering of the Light Carriage which goes with the Gatling Gun (infact the Gatling as a whole). An autocannon is also on the agenda to fit either Carriage - as is a limber.

Personaly I'd love to see arms that go with your torsos, already holding guns. No offence but I don't want the football shoulder pads on my dudes. lol

I knew I should have waited before I converted all those other gun carriages I bought from you with Lascannons and Autocannons.

Oh well, I am glad you are going to the old school Ork artillery wheels as those have been a pain to find on ebay by themselves.

Sorry, I'd assumed you'd have a chimera-compatible mountng in the works for people wanting a counts-as Hydra flak tank - no?

Lord Castellan, yes, just other projects have taken precedence for now!

Lockark, glad you approve! I have arms on the way, they'll be the next release following the Biker, unless the Mule slips in there first!

Goldshield, I'll see about making the wheels available separately in due course, both the current carriage wheels, and the new ones!

Clang, that may happen, but I'm thinking bigger when it comes to Anti-Aircraft firepower, big plans afoot for later in the year. I've always wanted a decent half track.

Nice!

Diggin' the rider, you kept him under wraps! Any idea as to when they'll be released?

Also your gun carriages are looking cool too. I do like the lascannon, but will the carriages be available separately?

Glad you approve guys, more news on that piece very soon!

In the meantime, another preview of the Anti-Tank Laser, this time a video, Kit has been hard at work and we are now very close to the finished design - it is still work in progress with some detail to be added to the carriage and gun shield, but I had to share!
