I was told they had an invisible force field around their heads... And I totally agree their weapons should be a little more advanced than swords and modified chainsaws lol. Here are som epics of some TAU I am working on for a friend of mine. He wanted some fire warriors so thats what he got! This was my first time painting anything TAU and I have to say...I did not like painting these little bitty guys lol. Way too small imo. I have 3 more pictures after these 10 that I am downloading and will post them when they are done.

These are great! Love the bases and orange in addition to the highlighting; must have been a major pain.

Hello everyone! It has been a couple of weeks since my last post. I am doing a quick update on the space wolf army! I have added some Thunder Wolves and a Defense Line with a Quad Gun. I just returned from the Redstone Rumble in Huntsville, Alabama with this army and that tournament was a BLAST! Thank you to the Host', Judges, Coordinator, the guys making the lemonade, the guys doing shuttle runs for us, the ladies helping with the food...just everyone was awesome and a pleasure to be around. This was a first year tournament and it looked, felt, and ran like an event that has been around a while. This one is a watcher to the tournament folks out there. So anyways enough of my rambles! Here are the pictures, and Ihope that everyone enjoys seeing them. As alsways O love feedback good or bad! Thank you to everyone! If you would like to vote on any pictures just click away as well.

Here is an update on the wolves. I did a major overhaul on 1500 points of the army and took them down to memphis for the Throne of Skulls. It was a great tournament. My army was photographed by the World of Battle Bunker guys from GW and they put the pics on their facebook page. I am really excited about that...that is really cool! Anyways here is the link. I will have some new pictures and another update hopefully later this week.

lol Thank you! Here is an another update. As mentioned before I took the Wolves to the Throne of Skulls in the US a couple of weeks ago. I ended up winning the Best Painted Hero, Best Painted Warhammer 40k Army, and the Best Space Wolf Player. I am really stoked! GW has updated their website with the Skulls coverage so please check it out! Loads of pictures were taken by GW staff John Shaffer, and they turned out extremly good! Thank you John for taking those pictures! You can see pictures on pages 1, 2, 4, and 5 in the 2012 throne of skulls coverage Memphis, TN page.

Ur space wolves are insane. I love the shading and lighing effect you did with the paint for the flames and plasma guns. That is awesome.

I could gush at how great these are, but people have already done that. Why are there runes along the sides of the bases? Is it just to look cool or are you really spelling something out?

Thank you! I sent you a PM with some tips.

tom191 wrote:Amazing paint job, i love ur freehand work

Thank you also! The free hand stuff is the most demanding, but the most fun and rewarding.

I finished up a hammerhead and some broadsides and a nifty tau HQ, but did not have the camera at my house when they got finished so I had to give them to the owner. If I get the chance I will grab some snaps of them, but they might be low quality since it will come from my phone prob. Over Christmas I am working on some Eldar guys....so check back to see those please!

thank you so much. On the bases with the runes on them....it was a cool idea to do, but really was not worth it in the long run since my list has evolved SO much and my grey hunter sizes change based on the points and list. So what ends up happening is I have a squad with different color runes and it gets confusing...and it's way to much work to go and redo the runes every time I play a certain list. I might end up just making them all the same color or making 10 of each color. I don't really want to buy more wolves or paint more when I don't use all my GH as it is unless I'm playing a max no point list.

The Wulfen on top of that rhino almost made me gak my pants, not in fear mind you, in pure awe

But in all seriousness those are amazing, and I cant imagine how much time each model and especially the freehand stuff took, the Wulfen is my new picture to show to people who say painting warhammer isnt art.

Congrats man, you deserve every compliment for work and dedication like that.
