I'd expect to see surges each time a new product is added. The 15mm Crusader will be the big one, I think.

agreed. I know I'm going to be upping my pledge amount before this kickstarter finishes as I need a second Leviathan I'm just playing the waiting game to see what the options for the 15mm scale as well as the mortis end up looking like. This kick starter is going to turn into a shut up and take my handfuls of money before its over

Undoubtedly!

Though I wonder how the 15mm versions will fit into the Iron Core world/game?

I KNOW where they'll fit in 40K!

Squad support in enclosed environments? Hunter-killer teams in rough terrain for taking out larger walkers? I can see some places for them.

Awesome, i love the way Mark listens to feedback. I hope we get some sort of tower shield, a lance/halberd/glaive type weapon would be cool too.

Right - what I meant was, does Mark already have plans for them, or will he have to shoehorn them in now, coming up with some valid reason why they look exactly like the Leviathans, only smaller!

There,I'm just altering my pledge from a single Levi and a Stormtrooper troupe to:

2x 20-man Stormtrooper troupes (and thus 2x Accessory sprues to go with them)
2x Heavy Weapon team Stormtrooper squads
2x Leviathans

with the addition of international shipping thus $330 USD!

If Heavy Troopers and Command is unlocked I will add to that pledge as well! (And if the Shadokesh bonus mini can be pledged for additional sets, that WILL DEMAND a pledge increase! )

My wallet. It burns!

Well, I'm betting the 15mm Leviathans will be useful for 15mm armies.

The Iron-Core game will be scale neutral I believe. So you'll be able to build out 15mm armies when they become available. Mark has shown the Stormtrooper infantry in 15mm test models.

In the meantime, there are plenty of non Iron-Core uses for a 15mm Leviathan.
Dread-knight, Knight Titan, Giant homicidal A.I robot, 15mm sci-fi game centerpiece.

I have one of the 15mm Resin Crusaders to do double duty. I'm using it for my Gruntz 15mm game, and also for Secrets of the Third Reich 1949 as an advanced Alien Tech German Walker.

So there is a market for them out there in 15mm.

Like me! Going to add 3 extra accessory packs when I get home. That will be it for me... Unless Mark adds a command set as it puts me at about $200 here (3 20man boxes, 3 heavy weapon boxes, 3 extra accessory packs).

A use for the 4.5" Leviathans in Iron-Core would be sweet as I'd love to use my 5.5" resin ones for it. If not, I'll probably just count them as taller since they're in between.

I might up mine for some troops towards the end, but not a lot, Im making a long distance move the day it closes, so finances wont be good. However, once the wife and I are working after the move I will be grabbing some stuff later on, prob direct order from Dreamforge if possible.

Whats my game?

Yes, it will be interesting to see how he offers them for sale after. Certainly direct, but he should finally have stock to use a distributor, too!

Dunno if we'll be seein those particular weapons, they are meant for the other leviathan variants... I really want an Azazel...

True, but dont forget all the weapons will be exchangeable with any VR5 variant Leviathan, so you could put the same weapon on a Crusader, Mortis, Azazel, Gabriel or Azriel.

Additional long-range weapon options for these would be great. Especially great if they are also offered on the 15mm version. Because now I'm thinking that those 15mm versions would be great as counts as Leman Russ's in an Imperial Guard army. Instead of tanks, your guard could use all walkers. With the Gatling Cannon, you'd probably count it as the one with the quad auto cannon turret. But with some of those other options, you could represent a lot of different tank variants, and get a really great looking force.

I think it will make $80,000 easily and unlock the 15mm Crusader, so hopefully people will push for extra 15mm crusader weapon options as well as the options for the big one.

I just wanted to pop in and express my appreciation for all the help you all are giving. Not just in pledges but in helping to promote this project!

I have a lot of fun things in the works and a lot of time to spend prepping for some of the stretch goals, so I am not on as much as I would like.

All the best!
Mark-

Any chance we will see a true tank in the near future? Id love to see the Dreamforge (Iron Core) take on something like a Tiger II, or just a big MBT in general.

If you have any concepts done up, Id love to see them...perhaps a link if you would be so kind.

I think at least for the shorter term Ill be buying direct. I dont mind catching a good internet discount on things that larger companies are selling/producing in bulk, but while Dreamforge is still small and growing Id like to have my money go directly to the company.

When these are finally in production, I think I'll tour the local shops and ask them if they'd like to stock DFG minis. I'm sure Mark wouldn't mind having a few FLGS carrying his stuff, even if they are north of the border.

Welcome aboard von skyfury. You won't be sorry. As an owner of a resin crusader I can say its the best model out there for realism and detail. Anyone who would compare it to forgeworld should be shot because I have a battle company of forgeworld mark iv armored marines who didn't look this nice coming out of the box.

I really wanted to to stop myself from spending even more money on miniatures...
Lots of promised minis from different kickstarters but nothing here yet...

But hey, it's a giant robot =) At that price, it couldn't be stopped =P

Any chance of getting a size comparaison picture of those lovely troopers versus that MERC miniature ?

Get them to email Mark and see if he minds them pledging the KS stuff and selling it to the public...
