Skyfury, also note he is at the stage of just finalizing mold parting, and paying for them... Hence the Kickstarter . Turnaround should be faster than other projects (I.e. a few months, listed on the page for each item that we've unlocked so far).

So they are, on the whole, taller than marines. I guess I'll have to use more of the running or braced legs to make them look a smidge shorter.

Which reminds me, my grandfather was in WW2, and as such, was always a giant in my mind. He died many years ago, so the impression had stayed. When I got access to his medical history for a paper on his company's role in Normandy, I was shocked to read that he was all of 5'2'' tall. I'm short for an adult male, but I still stand almost 6 inches taller than the man.

So when I ordered a repro uniform to have a copy of his (I have a single picture of him in his P37), they swore it was sized to original specs, and yet I have quite a bit of room in it... either they lied or troopers must have felt lost inside their own uniforms.

I've decided that mine will not be from a low grave world or one where the people are just giant, but mine are from the iron core dimension and have come through a dimensional rift of pure awesomeness to kick the imperium right in the jimmy. The emparah better get of his golden throne and ask the necrons or miss for help. Thinking of basing my guys with dead marines for fun.

Sure, thanks for the save.

Now, I know Mark is super busy and all, but can anyone email me the pdfs of the Iron Core ruleset?

I could see several 15mm Crusaders alongside 15mm armies like those from Rebel Minis, or the like.

As for the 28mm version, I would love to have the battle-cannon arms, along with the siege saw or the Mortis claw.

And I'm now in for a few more Heavy Weapons teams...eyeing a Mortis, but I think I might be done outside of that.

If I can hop on my soapbox for a minute, I like miniatures. I eye just about every rack at the FLGS (and they have multiple aisles of ranges there...awesome store) and I flip through most of the Kickstarters and new model threads here and drool over the work in the galleries and CMON and the like. However, in the interests of disclosure I mainly buy GW, and I would rate them as the standard to which I compare models. In the nearly 15 years I've been spending irresponsible amounts of money on toy soldiers, I've not seen too many other ranges that make me get out my wallet for more than the odd blister. Most manufacturers have some awesome characters, but then the rank-and-file fall flat. Or they go the route of having lots of good sculpts, but very little tying them together across the sea of models they make. Say what you will about GW (and they have more than a few "WTF?" entries) for the most part they produce a good product; just at a horrible price point for most people.

Dreamforge, however, has wow-ed me enough to shell out a decent amount of coin, certainly the most any company other than GW has garnered. Sure, he cheated by giving me "World War-era German Army meets Imperial Stormtroopers" (you can't unsee that, btw), but the execution of his ideas is excellent. Those aren't just pretty renders; based on his previous work and WGF's GenCon footage I'm sure that is how the models will look in-hand. His designs are well-engineered based on the accessories he can just drop in for us which IMO puts it on par with GW's kits; no mean feat for what amount to a one-man company. Unlike some companies the models have a sense of the laws of physics and anatomy, with stances and ammo feeds being visible and believable. Plus, anyone can look at just this forum to see how he engages with his customers to provide the experience they want to have in his world.

While I'm biased as a supporter, I do think everyone who throws in with Mark on this will be quite happy they did so.

It's just one of each weapon, although maybe you can trade with others if you're after certain ones. I figure I may want the options

Just upped my pledge for 3 extra accessory packs, so that I can give all of my guys (including the heavy weapon teams) unhelmeted heads. I'll still be 3 heads short, but figure I can probably buy a few off someone

Thanks everyone! We are back to making good numbers but unfortunately the number of new participants are down.... I try not to obsess on such things as it can change day to day and I have far too much to do already but 100k is a bit much to have our current backers shoulder. Hmmmmmm

I will have some unhelmeted heads to trade for if you need them. I am one of the die hards that cringe every time I see a terminator withoutba helmet. Maybe I've watched too many movies with snipers. Waiting for funds to clear, but probably won't in time so hear goes the credit card.

Don't worry, new backers will come. You're stuck in the middle of the campaign and that always slows down for everyone.

Every time you hit a new stretch goal, send news of it out to all the news sites. They'll post it and you'll see more people signing up Post it on Table Top Gaming News, The miniatures page, beasts of war, bell of lost souls, board game geek and rpg.net. It might not be a board game or rpg, but you'll still get traffic to your page from there BGG even has a whole forum just for advertising kickstarters, can't find the link though.

Okay, they look great, I just don't like the shield on the cannon (not enough rivits or details of any sort on the front of it IMHO, unlike the quad gun which looks FKING AWESOME)

From the pics it looks like a short howitzer? (or big .50cal?) very different from the metal anti tank gun right(?)
Also, are there missles inside the missle pod extra ammo pods? (you cant tell this is just me being nitpicky) the way you have this as both a possible mortar and rocket launcher is awesome.

I love the models and just went in on 3 sets of squads, at first i was a little concerned as to how those mg42's weren't going to snap but saw you have the quad mount supporting them all the way up to the heat shield and they dont overhang much, so thumbs up there

Helmeted for unhelmeted sounds like a perfect swap to me

Theophony- Normally, I feel that way too, but for guardsmen I think it makes them look perfect

Yep I keep my posts up on all but BoW and rpg.net and bbg need to post to the last two.... BoW is a bit rough to get news on, at least for me. I send them news but they rarely post it or even respond…. Ah well not their cup of tea I guess

That is a short 37 cannon good for a mobile light gun, mostly useful against heavy troopers but lacking against Mechs. Those are not missiles but a three barreled Mortar. You can barrage with a single Mortar

I just realized, and I am buying for a group, but my own pledge just raced past 500$. That is a big hole in my credit card, if my friends bail on me. I guess we'll see the strength of that bond, heh?

Any idea of a price point on that mortis, though? Hopefully in the same price range as the crusader? hmm?

I am hoping that the Mortis is identical in price to the Crusader. I think the campaign is going to see a huge surge from the 15mm Crusader and from the full-size Mortis. We just have to get there!

As mentioned previously by Hulk, a 15mm Mortis would sell insanely due to the new chaos 'dex coming out. Not sure if it's an option or not, but it would be a Big hit!

I know I'd be down for probably 2 of each type of 15mm (maybe more) if we got a mortis variant head on it. Otherwise I'll pick up 2 of the 15mm ones once their available. I'm already planning on us hitting the Mortis level though since I'm down for two Leviathans out of the 4 for my gaming group

If I were you, NoseGoblin, I'd analyze those graphs and numbers closely. Why, for example, is there a spike in pledges on 8-19, 8-21, & 8-23? But only a spike in supporters on 8-21 & 8-23? If you can figure out patterns, maybe you can adjust your marketing strategy accordingly, and try to maximize whatever is driving the numbers.

If it keeps on the same rate, it will hit $100,000. Of course, many who are going to join have already done so - the question is whether you, and the existing supporters, can drum up further interest to keep it chugging along to that 100K goal.

Maybe some more neat-o special prizes or add-ons? You probably are already over-extended in terms of product creation, but maybe some more enticements like having an in-universe character named after you? Or signed prints of something, or those kinds of premiums that I've seen on other Kickstarters. I dunno, I'm new at this, but I hope you make it to the 80K and 90K goals... I want little guys and a Mortis!

Good point about the Mortis - Chaos connection. That's why I want it too! Sounds like a way to sell this to many other curent and future Chaos players
