Sorry Manchu, but doesn't that comment belong in the OT forum?
Not seen any political commentary in the last couple of pages of this topic, so don't quite get your point - or was it just a general hint? We've all been discussing the plastic goodness we have all been ordering and hoping that we'll see it early in November rather than later.
Although given that it has to travel from China to the USA, and then in my case USA to the UK, I'm probably going to have to wait a little longer than I expect to. Even when I factor that into the equation.

My guess is the offending post(s) were already removed and he was encouraging whomever to not do so again.
Also I don't know if WGF is handling the entirety of distribution where they might ship directly to other countries or if it's going to the USA first and then out. Regardless, the answer to "when will it be here?" is certainly "not soon enough".

I can tell you for sure it will not be early November, right now its looking like late November. Sea travel takes any where form 20 to 27 days from China then it is shipped from WGF, USA the US orders will get them in 2 to 3 days after they are shipped and international orders may take up to 14 days depending on how efficiently their customs dept. handles the order.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Has any one started looking at potential conversion stuff? Especially the many amongst our number looking to use various troopers for 40k. For example my 10 assault troops are joining the ranks of my SM army as "Sword Brethren Terminators" using "Ancient Advanced Power Armor from before the Dark Age of Technology" and I was wondering how these pre heresy termie shoulder pads from Chapterhouse would fit up to them.
Thankfully they have those heavy backpacks to run their heavier duty (for Iron Core) power armor...
as seen here, which should take say a cyclone missile launcher easily enough.

The political commentary was mine, sorry about it. I have to say, we have very savvy mods on these boards. Automatically Appended Next Post: And I have to admit, I will run these as close to Eisenkern as possible, just because they look gothic enough for 40k, but functional as well, so there will be very minimal stylistic clash with my more modern infantry. They will have a certain ceremonial feel to them, not unlike the Jantine Patricians in the early Dan Abnett novels.

I don't really know what I am going to do with them! I had the thought of giving them Anvil Industry guns as Joel has just launched a plethora of new bits. Might pick some up to see if they fit, if not they will just go to my Thousand sons!
Seeing as the transoprt did not really suit what I was looking for I may just get the Bitspudlo APC although I have a feeling it will be too small for a full squad.
I might also use the leftover rifles from the Stormtroopers to kit out my dreadball figures. Not decided how that is going to work, probably need all the models with me.
I am aiming for a relatively sleek, sci-fi army made up of DF models as well as dreadball and Sedition Wars minis. Should look impressive when they all arrive.

If I open that door, to house rules and fandexes, then it'll never be closed. I'm all for making a game fun and unique, but the main motivation can't be "I want the most powerful army that makes yours useless no matter what."
Thanks for the feedback, I'll suggest Grey Knights. It's powerful enough, right?

Looking at this it looks like stormtroopers are a better size to SMs, with Valkir being better terminators. It's a shame SM heads and shoulders generally look poop, because swapping those in (ie. big chunky ones) would make STs a very convincing marine. Maybe boots too. Valkir are definitely chunkier than standard SM's.
Given the already existing Iron Cross and eagle icons, this would be a pretty straight forward ST's as SMs and Valkir as Termies.
Things to convert might be: backpacks for the troopers, larger gloves and boots, SM heads, and possibly SM weapons such as bolters as I'm not sold on the eisenkern pistols and rifles. The swords and heavy weapons look fantastic though. The Valkir are pretty much straight up better than termies in every way from what I can see.
edit: Found a better comparison image with all 3.

The Assault Troopers have as I mentioned above always been my "perfect" stand in for termies with a minimal amount of conversion effort for anything except personal taste. I think their giant revolvers or their box fed pistols make for good storm bolter stand ins. We've also seen that in a five man squad, one figure has a blade in the style of the "Executioner's Blade" from the Crusader class Leviathans. So mark that as your chain fist, convert one of the other swords with SM parts (from termies) or hook up a thunder hammer or what have you to designate your sergeant (add iconography/purity seals across the board) and designate the normal swords as power fist counts as. Instant terminator squad. Pretty damn cheap too, even if you want to add custom bits up the whazoo, change the shoulder pads out like I'm thinking, fresh weapons, Crux Terminatus, Purity Seals, whatever you're up for you shouldn't be looking at more then $40 for a fully decked out pair of squads... unless you go GW official for your missile pods if you want them. Things are $13 a piece! Warning boring fluff justifications follow: For my Space Marines I'm designating these two unique Terminator squads as part of the Chapter elite, the "Sword Brethren" these Space Marine heroes have been granted access to rare archeo-tech terminator armor the Chapter recovered in such and such glorious battle. Each member of the Sword Brethren must prove his mastery of all aspects of warfare before being granted a blade. While Sword Brethren do deploy in battle squads of five, many are scattered through out the chapter serving as Terminator Sergeants, company champions and as the leaders of veteran squads. The sergeants in command of regular tactical squads are not Sword Brethren but are members of the "Silver Helmed" veteran members of the Chapter who must prove their worth to join the ranks of the Sword Brethren by displaying leadership ability and sound tactical sense as well as personal valor in combat.

But I've got two-thirds of my marine chapter built, I really should finish them, but They are still in the moving boxes and I don't feel like breaking them out. I stopped by the local flgs yesterday after church to look at the chaos codex (ironic huh). Wanted to see if it was worth the $50.00 price tag. I'd definitely order it through a discounter, but still not turned on by it. and not that type of turned on.

Was going to order the blackwidows, but then they would charge $7 for shipping, 10 for $20 is ok, but 10 for $27 not such a deal anymore. Yes I know I could avoid the additional shipping if I was willing to wait 6 more months for my stormtroopers, but im not.

I made up for the shipping difference by picking up some assault troopers as well XD
If there was a single negative aspect of this kickstarter beyond me having a limited toy budget so I can't buy ALL the things it was the phased shipping costs, which in the grand scheme of things are perfectly understandable. Unfortunate, but them's the breaks right?
