drop troopers?

Yessir. I have two 5 man squads and a 5 man command squad of metal Eisenkern Kriegsmarine I'm going to use. Along with some Ma.K figs for light mecha, and Fallschirmjager units for light infantry.

No, I used to sleep in front of the pile of gifts just to make sure nothing happened to it once they had come out of my parents' hidey-holes.

The good old days, when Kenner and Hasbro made those huge sets like the Ewok Village, the Millenium Falcon, the GI Joe base... man I miss that last one. I can't believe I had actually put the Ewok Village a higher priority than the B-Wing...)

LOL! Sounds very familiar! Once my mom had forgotten where she had hidden all so she asked me where everything was!

OT: Any news if delivery has started?

Have ordered some of those fab boonie hat heads from Mad Robot to convert some of my squads into near future Bundeswehr in desert fatigues like in Afghanistan (those scarfs they wear will be made with green stuff).

Sounds like an exciting conversion! Are you going to do the Bundeswehr camo pattern? I salute your courage if you're going to.

Side note the scarves are called shemaghs

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

Will most certainly give it a try!! It's only in a light sand base colour, a bigger mid sand colour flecks, sparsed smaller red brown flecks and sparsed smaller green flecks.
Have enough reference pics for this task at hand.

And thanks very much indeed for the name of the scarves!

Project Update #87: ETA of container at WGF Utah
Posted by Mark Mondragon
I just wanted to keep all of you in the loop…

The container cleared customs fairly quickly and made its trip to Utah. It has been sitting at a shipping yard, frustratingly close to its destination, waiting for the final leg to the WGF distribution center for the last couple of days.

The shipping company has the container scheduled to be delivered Thursday (tomorrow).

It seems that Utah has been snowing; about ten inches over the last two days and this caused some problems for the shipping company keeping up with their other shipments and caused delays in our shipment. As a California native ten inches does not sound like much to me but I have the pleasure not having inclement weather, so I would not be the best person to ask when it comes to weather related issues.

The will likely begin shipping in bulk on Monday. This process could take anywhere from seven to fourteen days depending on how many of you opted to wait on your shipping. I don’t have those numbers so I am not sure of the total time needed. I know they are bringing in extra staff to deal with the project and expedite the process so hopefully we will be done sooner rather than later.

When the container actually hits the distribution center I will post another update, and one more when they have completed their work on stage one. You should start receiving your shipping confirmations next week. Be sure to check out the last update for a couple of hints on how to make sure you are receiving your confirmation. (Update #86)

A not on your packages:

When you receive your package you may notice that the seal has been cut (a round clear plastic sticker on the flap). This is due to the fact they need to insert some updated instruction inserts that did not make it into the box while they were in China. The main shipping box will be sealed and I know the flaps will stay closed on your model boxes but I just wanted to give you a heads up so you were not worried that someone had been poking around your shipment.

A note to our backers down under (Australia as well as the Pacific Rim, Asia):

We found that we could ship to this zone direct from Hong Kong at nearly the same cost of shipping from the US Your orders were sent Hong Kong Post direct to help speed your delivery. Customers in those regions will receive a tracking number next week, sent by Wargames Factory and should receive your kits at about the same time that the US customers receive theirs. The UK and EU backers could not be shipped this method due to the postal costs.

Cheers!

Thanks for the update, Mark.
Will Australian/New Zealand/Asian backers also have the updated instructions in their boxes or will they be mailed out separately from the US?

Just rec'd an email from WGF with a tracking number and I have not ordered anything from them directly, so I'm guessing this is for the KS.

Tim,

Thank you from Wargames Factory for your recent order! This email is notification that your order has shipped.

(Note: if your order contains more than one package you will receive this email once per package.)

Your package was shipped on 02/05/2013 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail to the following address:
