Worth pointing out the Striker upgrade pack is now in the extras section:

There will be another one for season 2 added tommorow, and potentially a 3rd one for the season 3 teams as well if the Plague get funded tommorow.

Also, for any casual latecomers to this thread who are now just checking it out to see what the value is like... it's really good!

I got a reply back that they WILL be offering the prones on their own!

I asked on the kickstarter site, but thought I'd echo it here:

Are these extra 2 guys from the alternate poses, or more of the original poses, which 10 of my 14 figures already are?

And really, $20 for 8 guys, when $25 gets me 16? At least drop this into the 2 for 1 scheme....

And why would any of us want the completionist package for season 2? Would that be them giving us 8 guys for $20, but no alternate poses, since there aren't any for season 2? Not seeing the point of a season 2 package....

**caveat: Do like the additional 4 prone markers in the completionist package. Also like the season 2 prones....but why only 2 teams worth?

Two things regarding the Season 1 Completion pack: They're keeping Season 1 items higher than future items for the moment because they don't want someone sneaking in and grabbing stuff meant for more Strikers for less than Striker. Plus, you're getting TWELVE figures, albeit 4 of them aren't regular play piece. As to the Season 2 Prones, the night is young, perhaps if and when we hit 600k, we'll see the Z'zor and Judwan ones.

Remember the Season 1 teams arn't in the 2 for $25 offer, they are $20 each (only the season 2 & 3 teams are BOGOF)

so the upgrade pack is better value than a normal season 1 team (8 players + 4 prones, vs 8 players)

Will the nameless team be named before the kickstarter ends?

When do season 2 and season 3 rules get released, to make those later teams/models usable?

The season 2 rules should be out by Q2 2013 alomng with the figures

hopefully Jake will put out some provisional data for the season 3 teams so we can use them too

not sure when the season 3 rules will be done, but the card pitch for it is listed as Q3 2013 so that would be a fair guess

That's the thing- for me, I'd only be interested in fielding a single team (I don't play at my house and wouldn't want other teams for opponents to use, since I'd only be getting into this game if other folks from the local store were). Since I'd be interested in the Nameless Team, and they won't have rules till Q3 2013 (if that's correct)... it seems to make sense to wait.

I don't dispute that Striker is a good value, but like a lot of these campaigns it's fantastic value for a lot of things I don't need... plus, many of you are spending far and away more than $150 once the "hook is set" so to speak

If you're just after one team it's probably sensible to wait

(I can't belive I'm saying this)

although I suspect about 1/2 the figures I get are destined for conversion and other uses.......

Season 2 Completist is now available

"Add this upgrade to a pledge of Striker to add Four Season Two Teams and Four Team Upgrade Packs (valued as Buy One Get One Free - worth $175). This combined with the two figures for each team already included at Striker! will give you the maximum allocation of player positions for your teams!"

It includes the 4 teams so if you have already pledged $50 for the 4 season 2 teams it will cost you another $35 to complete them. You must take 1 of each team there is no choice.

I'm still down for an Early Bird Striker, but I'm getting so fething sick of the endless chopping and changing. Since the kickstarter is going to end in the morning when I'm still asleep, I know more stuff will be added overnight.

That's why I haven't been enthused about changing my pledge as the kickstarter has progressed and feel like I may as well wait for the inevitable pledge manager, so I can actually see what's available and how much it will cost.

It's also looking like a "complete set" will be around the $400 mark, so I'm now debating whether it's worth getting any of it.

I'll look at it again just before I go to bed. If I remember. And yes, I'm in a gakky mood this morning, but frankly, the mess of this Kickstarter is most of the reason why.

Not thrilled about the ape origins, but the models are cool. Straight up marvin the martians.

I wonder how much of the Warpath universe is being built by Dreadball and how much was already planned for warpath?

Don't quite see what's wrong with this Kickstarter, I've seen worse. Hell, they gave us a free Giant and a bunch of short goals to make up for that long stretch of no new stretch goals. If you're wanting something in particular, ask about it, the guys are pretty fast about answering and they've held little back when I've thought to ask about it.

It's not that, it's the nightmare of endless extra +money options which also seem to keep changing (ie the "complete season" sets), and the horrible layout of the Kickstarter site so you can't actually see what the options are.

I mean, you shouldn't need to use [this to figure out what you're buying.

I'm just going to change my pledge to $300, which is my max budget for this and I'll look at it again when the pledge manager comes out. And maybe add some more to it then.

nothings changes scipio they've just added a new option for those who everything. there's options for everyone and the guide at the top break down the sections of the page down.

relic knights, now THAT was a mess. This is on par with Sedition wars in terms of ease of use...

And they've simplified going into the last day - Striker+Season 1 Upgrade+Season 2 Upgrade isn't difficult and get's you eight teams of 16 players with all those extra MVPs that are displayed on that rather useful diagram... then it's just a case of adding a pitch if you want one. I mean, they're options right?

Up next:

Not all clones are made equal. As soon as Farbiketek engineers discovered model CXLI was defective, they spotted an opportunity to turn the malformed creature into a star in it's own right. Fitting him with a powered exo-suit led to Riller being excepted into the ranks of the Zees, and from there his infamy has grown. Of course, exo-suits are technically illegal in most forms of DreadBall, but every court-case levelled at Rilla has been unceremoniously thrown out. After all, anything a lawyer says must be true.

It has gotten a bit confusing to add up. I'll make a summary here for people who don't have time for buggering about the calculator.

Current "Complete Set" pledge, just for the minis, not for pitches, dice or anything like that:

$150 - Striker
$20 - Season 1 upgrade
$85 - Season 2 upgrade

$15 - Cheerleaders
$15 - Coaches
$10 - Gabe
$15 - Season 1 Keepers
$8 - Season 2 Keepers

Those are all fixed, the following is subject to change as another large model and the final team gets added (for an extra $17):

$24 - 2 extra large models
$25 - 2 season 3 teams
$20 - One season 3 team

So, if you want to wait for the pledge manager to sort out all the season 3 stuff/ other frills, just add $105 to Striker and call it a day, that'll at least give you 8 complete teams of 16 players.

If you want all the stuff which isn't subject to change based on tomorrow's stretch goal, add $168 to Striker and you're sorted.

Current "absolutely everything" pledge is Striker + $237, which will probably increase to Striker + $254 or so.

In short, completionists are probably best off throwing $400 at their pledge (plus whatever dice, t-shirts, pitches etc. they want) and leaving it for the pledge manager to sort out any imbalance.

Yeah, but then folks would realize they're spending $400 on a "board game", since 8 teams of 16 minis isn't going to translate into being used for other systems too easily. Not sure why so many folks want all the teams at that kind of cost?

Whenever I got tempted to get into bloodbowl, it was with one team, maybe 2...

Hence my wanting those beautiful Nameless, but not much else.

There's nothing stopping anyone from pledging $30 for Guard!

You get digital copies of the rulebook and its 2 expansions, as well as a free MVP in addition to your single team.

Everything you need to play a pick-up game for $30, and it comes with free shipping too. It's pretty good as far as "dip your toe in the water" pledges go.

They've paid good attention to the low-end pledge levels in this, it's just that most people prefer to make more of a big spend... coupled with the tendency of gamers to be extremely completionist about stuff like this. Collect ALL the teams!

Hmm, that's actually pretty tempting, along with the Nameless Spawn for $12.

A few questions...

How many models is a "team"? Is there no way to expand the Nameless team to 14 models... yet? (I.e. they didn't get alternate sculpts like the earlier teams did?)

I'm also a bit confused by the pitch options. What's the basic pitch cost, if I wanted to add it to the Guard level? And then what's the additional cost to have a board that the Nameless Spawn / mechs can be used on?

I'm guessing all of that would be held to ship in Q3 2013, right, if choosing the Nameless as the team of choice?

Sorry for all the questions

RiTides, I believe the $12 price tag on Biggies only applies to Striker (like the Buy one get one Season 2/3 Teams)

That price is listed on their graphics on the main page... I see some restrictions on other options about adding shipping if not pledging at least at the $30 Guard level, but I don't see it saying that the $12 is Striker-only (maybe I'm just missing it).

- 8 models in a team, this is the standard size used for basic non-league games, and positions are fixed.

- The only way to get 16 models for your Guard pledge would be to add a second team to the pledge for an extra $20 (So $50 total). This would 100% set you up for league play with others who have a pitch. Teams max out at 14, but having 16 players would not be a waste as this would completely cover all of your hiring options during the league (this is why everyone wants 16 players for their team to be properly complete).

Basic pitch is not for sale as a card version, so that would be $25 for the .MDF version.

Ultimate pitch (that the nameless spawn can be used on) is sold for $20 for the card version.

You'll also need a card pack, counter set and refbot+ball pack to have your own self-contained "game set" with one team.

It's definitely possible to make your own custom set that doesn't include any of the first 4 teams at all if you want.

E.g. In your case, you'd be looking at something like:

- $30 Guard (Nameless team.. I guess they'll get John Doe as their free MVP)
- $20 Extra Nameless team.
- $20 Ultimate Pitch.
- $23 Card, counters, refbot, balls.
- $12 Nameless Spawn

So, $105 total for a completely pimped-out Nameless team of 16 players with their MVP and giant beastie, plus a dreadball ultimate pitch and all the other frills needed to play.

And yep, it'd all be a 2013 arrival.

Sweet, just one more question can parts simply be "left off" the Ultimate pitch, and thus it be used as a regular pitch?

Or will Season 3 teams only ever use the Ultimate pitch? I had the impression it would only be used when mechs / large base models were being used.
