If GW is stealing your money, you should call the police and start actually locking your doors at night.

If this is unsuccessful, I'd form a neighborhood vigilante group to patrol your neighborhood and shoot at any GW employees that are trying to break into anyone's house.

That or boobytraps. Gets 'em every time.

No offense mate, but I'd rather pay GW my money than have to see all those emoticons you are unnecessarily throwing around; at least the price increases have a reason behind them.

I wish Rhinos were still $35 here.

The truth is that GW sells their products at the price that gives them the highest profits with the least effort on their behalf. In GW's eyes, it's better to have one customer buy a single product with $30 profit than to have two customers buy the same product with a $15 profit, because they had to do less for the same level of profit.

Are they stealing from you? Of course not; it's your choice whether you want to spend the money or not. There are plenty of cheaper alternative games out there, or discount retailers for 40k if you're set on buying it. But it's not like GW is holding a knife to your back and is asking for your wallet.

Yes, that plastic is indeed worth $35.

Look around the internet at various plastic/resin/pewter miniatures that different companies sell.

For comperable quality and detail, you often pay MORE then what GW sells their models at.

GW has excellent quality sculpts and compared to the alternatives are well priced.

Now, that said, GW does charge WAY more then what they need to run their business. But this is because GW has made some questionable business choices. Their brick and mortar stores are sucking away much of their profits, not to mention they pay outrageous dividends on their stock.

The result is they keep hiking the prices so they can maintain profit increases, so the stock increases, and so their Stockholder's dividends keep rolling in.

They could easily slash their prices and suddenly have a massive upswing in profits from renewed intrest. due to low prices. And it would yank people away from their competitors like PP.

Is this the truth? Can you back this up with evidence?
