So, as I've been reading the free Armored Battlegroup FAQ from FW, I've noticed that there are some things missing from the FAQ that aren't explained. Mainly certain special rules and certain weapons, but it's mostly little things. What I was wondering was if it's better to try and hunt down the IA book (I think it's IA 1 right) or should I try and hunt around on the FW website to find the little things I'm missing.

The main reason I ask is because if I'm going to use the armored battlegroup list in stores, I need a "codex" for them. The FAQ has most of what I need, but I need to make sure I have every weapon profile, special rule, and vehicle statline. While I know the list is legit, I imagine I'm going to get more than one raised eyebrow at the statement "Yeah, I can take russes as troop choices"

Obviously, that choice is shown well in the faq, but others aren't as well represented.

TL;DR: where can I find the rest of the info I need for special rules and profiles for the armored battlegroup FAQ? Should i hunt down the IA book or find more FAQ's off of FW's website?

You'll need IA1 for the FAQ to be used to it's fullest extent, since, though comprehensive, it's still ultimately a FAQ for IA1.

Don't even bother trying to track down the IA1 book - IA1 update (which was released as a free PDF) superseded it entirely. There's a fresh update in the works to bring it into line with 6th.

Yeah I've got the 1.1 FAQ, hence why inm asking for extra info. I'm trying to make some reference sheets, like an armoury page and a vehicle equipment page that lists what all the upgrades do, like the vanilla IG codex has. I guess for now I'll just find the info where I can and start putting them together.
