Allow me to clarify..,Karnulon aka Veq, entered the Word Bearers to become a demi-Astartes and assist in the planned fall of the Word Bearers.

Why would he want or need to do that? Even the Captain of the Word Bearer band reflects that it's likely that Karnulon was dead and that Veq had stolen his ship. Making Veq just another Astartes wannabee cheapens his awesomeness. He was a mortal follower of Chaos that beat them at their own game, no Chaos Space Marine is that good..

Hmmm...you may be right.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Like in Fantasy, I would imagine that some groups champion 'Chaos' in general rather than be specifically devoted, and will get favours from the four though not enough to 'Mark' them which generally requires exclusivity.

Chaos Undivided has its own Mark.

They put a mark into it in the rules and written about, but it doesn't really make sense as such.

There would be things showing that someone is blessed by Chaos in general, but it's not really a 'Mark' because the mark is like a brand of ownership. A mark of Chaos undivided means they are owned by none of the four, which is a bit silly.

Archaon is the undivided champion in Fantasy, but he doesn't have the specific marks but instead has a blessing from each of the four (that are unique and not the same as the Marks of Chaos).

I would interpret it as all four Powers having an equal share over the particular mortal.

Like the biggest trick Tzeench pulled on IoM :-).....
I can see Magnus scenario all over again when Tzeench tells Draigo: "You were the chosen one...always:-)"

It is, but that doesn't have the same gravitas as a 'real' mark, as none of them have 'claim' on the individual. It's not a mark in the same way, more of a mark of a heavily 'blessed' individual of Chaos, which is something different though not really uncommon — I would say this kind of Chaos follower is more common than the specific marked ones and receives 'gifts' from his actions from any of them.

That's pretty much it...IMO though, I'd say this is better though, as the 'gifts' balance each other out.
