I posted this in the Infinity N&R thread, but I thought it might merit a thread of its own.

The Chandra's weapon options do not actually match those advertised. There is no Multirifle, instead there is a (left to right):
Sniper Rifle
Spitfire
Boarding Shotgun

The "Intel" Operative for Ariadna. Love it!

I'm actually...kinda disappointed with the Chandra Operative though.
You cannot reasonably cut off her Combirifle to replace it with anything from the weapon sprue, as it is the "bullpup" styled gun with its clip/stock fused to her arm.

The Intel operative though is going to be a breeze to convert if you want to. The gun's stock is 'floating' a slight bit above his actual arm, allowing for pretty quick removal. As it stands though...I think I found a Chasseur!

I'm getting 2 of these =)
1 new SAS (Gas mask and probably Assault Rifle) (all my Scouts/SAS/Chasseurs/Foxtrots can proxy for any of these similar models)
And 1 Spec Ops =D
Might also glue the Sniper rifle on the back of the "boarding shotgun" SAS.
Or maybe just get a second one in the Starter Pack

Thanks again for these !

Edit : sorry for the typo =P

No problem, Von Skyfury.

After having looked at the helmeted head from the Chandra, I'm thinking I need to get my hands on another helmeted head.

It would be perfect to convert a pair of Naga to fit in better with my Dasyu/remote heavy force.

Awesome, thanks for the post!

Oh definitely. The hooded one.

He will be a good potential proxy for a Chasseur (Forward Observer).

The gas mask head is actually really cool, but I have a feeling it is going to make more sense when we see the Russian/American Sectorials. It looks too high tech for Ariadna otherwise.

As it stands, the hooded head just ties better with the two existing Sectorials. You have the Metro styled hood and the SAS styled face mask/hood underneath.

I'm using the Gas Mask for a SAS proxy because both SAS models have a gas mask on their arm.

Agreed, it looks very Russian to me, so i expect it to tie in more with upcoming releases.

Well, with the (gorgeous) hooded Metro HMG being the last thing they released before the Intel.... But yes, im with you. Hadnt actually thought of how well they have thought of the 2 heads and how well they tie in with current + upcoming sectorials before, but now i have i see a master plan emerging from CB....

Oh there's no blame, it was just something to pick on you with!

I figured it was a language thing, but still...like Reiko said, it was amusing!

Like I said, just razzing you a bit!

I figured it was a French/English mistake, but it was still amusing!

As a note, I've started painting the Intel Operative first.

Broke out Vallejo, which is unusual for me.

Could the Chandra be missing an arm? If they Intel came with one then why not her?

It'll have to wait.
The first pass was a "meh" result. I was going to do a coyote tan fatigue pant, with a matching jacket and the armor plates/tactical vest done in olive drab.

I'm going to reverse that slightly, with olive drab fatigue pants and jacket then tan vest and drab armor plates. Paint is currently being stripped.

I waste no time!

CDK wrote:Could the Chandra be missing an arm? If they Intel came with one then why not her?

See, that's what I originally thought as well. But I've pored over all the promotional material they have for the Chandra--and it has nothing different ever shown.
The Intel guy has been shown with both of his hand (the "gun held" and "hand outstretched") options.

I think it might just have been a poor design choice or no real way to come up with an alternative.

I was referring to the Chandra, not Intel.

Good thing I was planning on my Chandra to hold a rifle and not anything else. Is it also possible to sling the weapons on the Chandra's back, like she has two weapons?

The hooded Intel operative looks like Chernobyl Stalker.

Spoiler:
Scar will not catch Strelok

Still, toying with with an idea to start a small Ariadna warband... Nobody plays Infinity here, probably nobody will, but miniatures are damn attractive from aesthetical point of view.

Take the plung and try to get others to play! If anything you then have great figs for stand-ins for another game.

I hardly convinced another guy to start Flames of War, so I am not very optimistic that somebody would agree to start another system But minis are great, indeed. Is it possible to make Scots only Ariadna or is it better to combine different sectors?

Yes, you can do Caledonia. It's a sectoral force for Ariadna.

http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/caledonian-highlander-army/

Well be sure to mention the rules are FREE. If they really don't want the fantastic figs they can easily proxy with other figs. I think once they try it out they might come around.
