I think I like it. It looks pretty close to the picture in the book, which is usually a good thing, IMO. There are a couple of funky bits (like the raised arm), and the proportions don't really look like it flies, but, like I said, it's pretty much exactly how it looks in the book.

I think some of these complaints people have might be alleviated by a nice paint job...

Now granted the rules for the model state it can fly, but one could imagine that the dragon outgrew its need for flying over the centuries and they were just legacy appendages. Like an appendix.

Also, I do have to credit FW for sticking quite close to the artwork in the Monstrous Arcanum on this one. The paint job will really show the model off as something besides a fat lizard.

That said, I'm really quite tired of integrated scenery on models. The Jabberslythe has it, all the new dragons have it. It makes for very limited posing without weeks of cutting and resculpting.

Just give me monsters that fit on a flat base, or at least give several options of scenery to be integrated, so instead of just a tree stump, include a boulder, or dead creature or something.

What's the rear right leg doing? And call me Mr Suspicious, but why are there no shots of the right hand side of the beastie?

I was thinking the same. The face is VERY turtle looking.

I like it, but already have enough Dragons.

Lovely, naturalistic sculpt.

Not 80 pounds worth of lovely, but still lovely.

Honestly I dislike this model. If it followed the artwork (which I love to death) it would have something out of How to Train Your Dragon (don't tell me none of you weren't thinking of it ), in which case I would bought it in an instant.

Unfortunately instead of being sleek, angular and awesome, it looks bloated and lethargic. Sure it looks exactly like a dragon, there's no debating that point, but it's just a very lazy looking dragon and not much of a real threat, looks like you could outpace it with a slow jog.

It's a good dragon model, just not a very...exciting or unique take on it in terms of aesthetics.
