Still in the box? Coteaz who was bought for me as a gift (I don't play Grey Knights), although I'm planning on getting around to painting him simply because it's my first finecast.

Was just doing this the other day myself as i was trying to figure out exactly what i've spent over the last 3 years.
I did some panic purchases when i knew metal was coming to an end and made around 6 largish orders to games-workshop. They were around $200-$900 each and the higher ones needed them to call me to process. Something to do with card purchases i think from credit companies (mastercard).

Then i went through all my paypal stuff over the last 3 years (thats basically all i ebay) and got quite the shock. I'm wondering if i can recover costs on it should i choose not to do the armies. Surely there are others out there that love the metal models (well thats what i tell myself).

$11,910.29 AUD in total was the damage report(i hate to think what ebay stuff was aus rrp). This doesn't take into account my 2 armies in the carry case (around 150 space wolves[65 grey hunters, 56 blood claws, 6 scouts, 18 terminators plus special chars] and 36 grey knights). The wolves aren't all painted.... hardly many are and have been that way over the past 12 years (collection only really grew in the last 5 years).

I have pretty much each metal unit from all 40k armies except
- sisters of battle (i don't have a single unit from this army)
- necrons (just immortals, chars in metal, wraiths, tomb spyders and some pariahs)
- imperial guard (wasn't alot of metal available for these guys so just the kasrkins and some chars)
- dark eldar (don't have beastmaster or the beasts. Was mainly interested in incubi and the mandrakes)

Ebay was the main purchase place as the model costs are horrendous in australia and i find even with shipping with the dollar being strong its cheaper overseas!
Auctions i'm most proud of
- 2 x NIB oop razorbacks (these things are friggen hard to track down)
- 3 x oop NIB predators ( 2 x destructor, 1 x annihilator)
- 1 x venerable dreadnought metal
- 1 x Asdrubael vect NIB
- 5 x ork in mega armour with twin linked shoota (i don't know why gw stopped making these and only did the rokkit launcha and burna ones)
- special ed chars that came with 2004 army box sets - kallistus, 2004 tyranid army box lictor.

I think most of it was fear purchases though i keep telling (maybe deluding) myself that i'll have it all done one day. Maybe my great grandchildren will.

A large window shelf worth..a much larger amount than those painted.

I know you have more than that. I have seen the piles in your basement. You got enough stuff there to provide a complete starting inventory to a small FLGS.

Pretty sure if I totaled up what I have in unopenned boxes and blisters and the wife found out the next thing I'd be collecting would be divorce papers. I still have unopenned boxes of rhino's from when there were still three in a box. Not to mention a forgeworld addiction that has boxes sitting in the hobby room I don't even remember purchasing

The Plastic Eldar are remants from 3 battleforces, and will be assembled and painted once I finish the Skimmer army painted up first. The Warlocks are all awaiting conversions for Jetbikes, most from Ebay, about 1/2 are stripped models (2 - 4 are NIB metals). The Space Marine Devastators and Assault Marines are NoS, purchased at one time but are now honestly probably never to be assembled (my Marine army feels "Done" as it ever will be to me). The Demons are to be assembled and painted as soon as the Eldar Skimmer Army is done (But before the 2nd wave of Eldar is completed).

I have plans, but still a surprising amount of value sitting not being used, some for upwards of a year so far. Roughly $500 in new market value, not that I paid that much for it (most was purchased new in the store, most of the Warlocks were Ebay buys). I probably dropped $250 on it total. It's hard to tell, part was a buy 2, get 1 free deal, part was store credit, part was with a 40% off discount (I have connections at FLGS's, I guess) - It's hard to tell exactly what I spent on it.

Um... left unassembled... since assembling is one of my favorite things, I have 3 Miss Terious Models from GenCon, my Santana Ortega, 2 Beckoners, 3 Depleted from Malifaux, Rasputina's Box and Leviticus's Box...

Now if we go to painting, it'll be half my khador army (so like 200 bucks) 75% of my skorne army (probably 175 bucks), my ENTIRE IG army (bought second hand for 425 dollars total, but well over 1200 dollars in models), my ENTIRE vampire counts army (like 150 bucks (yay mantic!)). 4 Trollbloods Models, my Cygnar and Mercenaries army, and about half my Neverborn...


It's a work in progress, but I believe someone said you die once you get everything painted, so I don't really want to chance it... ya know?

This questions scares me and I dont want to answer it.. Needless to say its a crap load..

Every time I look at the half of a Wolf pack I've yet to assemble, I felt bad, until I saw this thread. Everything else is assembled and primed at the least, or parts still awaiting a purpose.

I have a pile of grey knights, plaguebearers, and plague marines currently being worked through.

3-4k I would think...

I have lol. I pulled my Warmachine bag out of my car (usually stays there for play lol) and I'm going through tray by tray until it's painted

Unpainted... well I've still got the majority of a Sisters of Battle Army to work through. But I'm getting there.
