Hi I love all the new psychic powers possible with 6th especially with book powers, and I was thinking of some new pretty crazy combos that are now possible. I know there was already a thread on which was better between the book powers, particularly divination, or the codex powers. However, I've been looking at the Telepathy powers, and that last power is crazy having the ability to stun almost any enemy unit any time you want, but more so than that invisibility is insane. Being a dreamer the second I saw invisibility I immediately pictured a unit of invisible biker warlocks, with another farseer thats 2+ rerollable cover when combined with jink, 6 heavy flamers, initiative 5 Ws 5 w/ the opponent Ws 1, maybe 5 rerollable spears with guide or better yet the book power to rerol hits in combat too, and overall supreme manuverability. When putting all this together I think we come to the true definition of a deathstar. When I totalled the cost for such a unit, I realized it would be wel over 800 points, if not 900. Would it be worth it? Invisible wraithguard with conceal for that golden 2+ cover was also another thought of mine. The great thing about eldar is that their seers actually have the power to be 2/3 likely to get any given power due to being able to take 4 powers, albeit at a high cost.
But also Bugs! I hat Bugs!! seems like a really powerful disrupting power to your enemy. So has anyone tried any of these combos? Has anyone taken powers other than divination or book powers. i was think one of each type of farseer might be useful, but really I was wondering on your thoughts on all this/

Yeah there are heaps of interesting combos in 6th, but that applies to all the books not just Eldar. Eldar do have quite a bit of potential in this regard though, since a) they are psykers with access to divination b) they can ally with plenty of armies notable Battle Brothers with Dark Eldar and c) they bring psychic defence which everyone loves. As has always been the case, but if you are buying more than 2 powers and Spirit Stones then you really should just buy Eldrad unless you really need your Seer on a Jetbike.
Tbh while invisible JetCouncils would be fun, making them invisible isn't much of a change. They are already stupidly tough to kill with 3+/4++ re-rollable, so jumping them up to a 2+ cover save isn't that big of a deal since they tend to end up locked in combat for long periods of time. The FAQ ruling that you can't overwatch with Destructors was a bit of a blow as well.
Invisible Wraithguard is nice I guess, but if you just take the Baron and put him in the unit you still get at least a 4+ cover save (re-rollable with Fortune). On top of that they get hit and run to bounce out of combat and blast people. This means you avoid needing to cast a psychic power, and probably cuts down the points you need to spend overall.
Tbh though if you really want to take a Deathstar type unit you are better off taking allied Dark Eldar ones since they pack so much more punch. The Harliestar still works even with the latest FAQ, Eldar Harlequins + a Shadowfield Archon for 2++ re-rollable.
Beast Packs are nasty even without any character support and are relatively cheap. Their speed is a major bonus, usually you just take them with the Baron for Grenades (and Stealth and Hit and Run) and let them do their thing, but with psychic power buffs they get even more powerful (re-rolling hits/wounds).
The other one I want to try is a big squad of Grotesques with Karandras. He gives the unit Stealth, which means you are looking at 30 T5 wounds with 3+ or 4+ cover saves and FNP. He also lets them Infiltrate, which helps bypass their relative lack of mobility, gives them Fearless (even without Pain Token help) so they stick around and brings 7 S8 AP2 attacks which ensures that the unit can deal with Dreads and other nasty stuff. If you can combo this unit with some psychic powers it gets pretty nasty, 4++ from Forewarning makes them incredibly tanky, Invisibility is nice but not really needed, and you can also give them re-rolls to hit, wound (Doom if you keep bit, rarely needed with S5/6) and force re-rolled saves on your opponent.

Isn't trusty guide better than divination?
Guide+pathfinders+precision shots is a nice combo.
Personally I think if you are looking to make a deathstar you have chosen the wrong codex. Eldar, both types, Dr. Frank-N-Furter or brad and janet, are too squishy to begin with.
There are really messy IG blobs which work and weird marine squads which also are reasonable. Eldar fits in between the two badly, in terms of making super soldiers.

No.
The Primaris Power in Divination is equal to Guide for shooting attacks, but superior in both range and assault.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
