I know he's really not that good and such, but I thought he looked pretty cool, so I decided to paint him up a bit.

Note: I bought him for about 50 cents so as I got what I paid for; he's missing a few prongs from the staff, missing a bit of arm, and finecast finecasted itself.

Sorry for the crummy pictures. My good camera done shattered.

Flat colours are good. I can't see a lot of details, but i'd advise the next step ; washes. Try a good heavy black wash on the silver metal parts, and a brown one on the copper/brown parts.

Cross between "not bad" and "pretty good"?

Good start Gummy! Colors look blocked well, so as suggested, just wash it with a black or brown, touch up and highlight a bit on the hard edges. With time and practice you can move on to trickier things but this is a more than okay for the tabletop.
