I should be around at 5, your time, at the latest. If not, I'll just make the runs by myself. Was farming for zer0's skin, no luck, but a level 9 emperor popped out on my second run. PT1, obviously.
I'm also very bored at work, hence the very fast responses. Lol. Gotta make the time fly somehow.

OMG, slag + torgue explosive dual wield is hilarious. Also, throwing 2 lv 50 bonus packages for every one is great fun.

Aldarionn, I'll be getting the slagga, baby maker, transformer, gub, hammer buster and shreddifier from a 'trade' later tomorrow night too. They should all be 50, except the gub is 48.

Most excellent! That knocks a huge chunk off the list. I'll be doing some farming tonight I think so if I come up on anything we don't have I'll add it to my list.

Well, Sir Hammerlock's dlc was officially announced on twitter. First goal: Muldoon's head. Second goal: slaughter innocent creatures. Third goal, loot Aldarionn's player's corpse as he dies to a rabid stalker. I mean, uh, share loot with him...

Man, they are really on the ball with the DLC. Other games take forever to get DLC out. With Gearbox, just about every time I start getting bored they bust out another DLC.

Actually, I just started playing online. Usually solo. But, if you were gonna pick a partner-based dlc, it would be this one. I don't ever do random, but we've done a few raids.

Sigh, DLC 3 shows up the 15th of January. Rather than put it out while many are off for the holidays, they put it a month later. Kind of annoyed at Gearbox right now. Aldarionn, a buddy of mine is willing to wait until I get back from my work trip in January to start the DLC and we're running through it together, if you'd like, you're more than welcome to join us.

I don't know that I'll COMPLETELY avoid playing the DLC, especially not if you are going to loot my corpse when I die! But I can definitely avoid playing it on at least one of my characters so I can run it with you.
Also, a big thanks to TTW85 for basically completing my list of wants last night! He has had far better luck (and more time it would appear) than I have in finding legendaries, and I have reaped the benefits. Pretty much all of my characters are now set up with everything they want/need at level 50, and it's awesome! I'm ready for the rest of the DLC now!

Is the weekend event still on? I'dve thought that it would have ended with the DLC's release.
Anyhow, this DLC aught to scale with the player. Revisting a location that's stuck at lv32's not much fun. =/

Great-they extend it until 10:55am. I won't be back from work til Thursday night around 6:30. Sigh. Good luck guys who get to hunt Vermi. Aldarionn, if you find him and get the character heads from Vermi, can you save and dupe them for me? If not, no worries.

I missed the Vermivorous event, unfortunately, but TTW and I managed to down Dexiduous the Invincible yesterday. Interesting fight, but thoroughly annoying and it takes entirely too long to do (45 minutes or so, with several deaths each).
I'd like to give Voracidous the Invincible a try at some point, but we might want to do the Animal Rights quest first, as the Tresspasser is apparently very useful in that fight.

It's actually kinda short. It only took TTW and I two hours to finish the main story. There are a number of side quests, but the main story is somewhat disappointing. It looks very nice though, and the new enemies are kinda cool. I'm glad they brought back Drifters from General Knoxx.

I played the latest DLC, got to Jackensteine and thought "hmn, this seems a little too interesting to be a mid DLC boss". But no, that was the big bad disappointingly. I'm not saying it doesn't have character, but it doesn't feel as well implemented as the previous DLC. For instance, I'd rather not have to run through a village of bad guys to get to a quest giver every time I want to turn in (ie Claptrap). The same went for the bounty board next to the arena in Campaign of Carnage, but it didn't take so much of a walk. Dr Whatshisface was a decent bad guy, but I don't know if he should have been more cowardly or less, either way he didn't feel as fulfilling a character as say Captain Scarlett or Axel. And that's kind of my main gripe, I'd have liked to see more commentary from Haverlock going on in a stereotypical imperialistic big game hunter manner (like Mr Torgue's constant "look at the purdy explosions").
Anyhow, overall its fun to play, but I do hate it when a DLC's side quests take longer to complete than the main one. I did happen to go "squee!" at the silt striders (again, Whatsitsname) and their reference to War of the Worlds. Maybe I need to play through it again in True Vault Hunter mode, but it really didn't feel like a challenge in the vannila game (which would at least have given it a longer play time). =P

On TVHM the Chupacabra Witch Doctors are friggen mean, as are Super Badass Witch Doctors. The former steal your life, then turn into a swarm of bats that cannot be damaged, making them very difficult to kill before they just replenish their health. The latter heal nearby enemies, meaning you have to focus fire on them before you can even start working on the rest, which is difficult if there are any other Badass enemies around.
Overall, I really like the savages compared to bandits. They are a more fun enemy to fight, if somewhat annoying, and their support characters are much more amusing than Nomads. The scenery in the grotto is also very nice and makes for an enjoyable experience. I just wish the story had taken its time to get to the conclusion, which was certainly entertaining, if short lived. Jackenstein could definitely have been a much harder fight.

...They managed to go through the entire DLC without saying any line like, "I'm totally not going to betray you". That's a mark down in my books. =)
It was cliche, but I kind of enjoyed the villains constantly pointing out that they either would eventually betray you (Scarlett) or that they totally wouldn't...despite everyone else contradicting this (the boss you fight in the pub in the Campaign of Carnage).
Actually the one line that Mr Torque says just after you've met Axel, who gives a rather nice "you are a great warrior, so we shall fight together as BFFs forever" speech, is probably one of my favorites from the series. "IS IT JUST ME OR DOES IT SEEM LIKE HE'S GONNA BETRAY THE FETH OUTTA YOU?"
Haverlock saying that Dr Nata...Whatshisface is a terrible villain and should have some pride when the good Dr starts pleading after you kill his big killy death thing was nice however. I would have prefered if they played up the reluctant villain part more though. Ie all you and Haverlock want to do is hunt, all the Dr wants to do is get on with his little plan of world domination, why not just shake hands and get on with your business? ^^'

That's not correct though. The Dr wants you to try and stop him because he idolizes Handsome Jack and wants to be equal to him. He WANTS a nemesis as cool as the Vault Hunter who killed his idol, but he is ill prepared to deal with it when it push actually comes to shove. He's not a "reluctant villain", but a nervous guy trying to fill shoes about 10 sizes too big for him. I love that part at the end after his speech where he just bounces his way down the ramp to a rather unimpressive death.
The writing was great in my opinion. They just needed more of it.
