Ok, So i got my Hardback 6th edition book when it came out. It was getting damaged by getting carried around and read so i got a cover. But it always disappears on game night. It is kinda annoying. I dont like people touching my things without my permission. But they always take my book and use it without my permission when i'm not looking. Because of the cover, people think it is a store copy(despite the fact the store doesn't use covers on their copies) or because im a nice guy who doesnt mind. How can i stop people frm taking my rulebook out from under me.

If there's a store copy, stop bringing yours. People are rude, and anything short of causing a scene and getting labelled as the guy who causes scenes and might be unhinged won't fix the problem.

Keep it in your hands all the time
Tell the store manager
Put a book cover on it so no one knows what it is.

Grab their land raider/Leman Russ/ Flyer and when they go "hey, what are doing?"
You respond with " Taking stuff that doesn't belong to me"
They'll stare at you blankly
You stare back
You say "This is why we ask to borrow things, so awkwardness like this doesn't happen. They taught this in pre-school, you were probably eating glue. May I have my book back?"
If they can't respect personal property, don't respect the person.

That's one option. Alternatively, acting like someone in big pants is also an option.
Putting your name on it, or just leaving it in your bag until you need it would potentially help.

There is a Cover on it, And everyone knows what specific color it is.

Or as soon as you arrive you just make an announcement along the lines of "Hey guys, just a quick announcement, can you please not use my rulebook without my permission thanks". That will take you all of 30 seconds and save everyone a lot of grief.

This.
My book is only out when we have a rules query. I don't bother putting my name on it because no one should be rummaging through my bag.

I normally have no problem with someone using my RB but it is nice when people ask. But I have a stipulation to using my RB and that is the old classic if you break it you buy it and I have never had that problem because of that rule.

Im probly lucky though as many people in my store have their own copy of a 6th edition and if they don't, they actually ask.

Don't use the big rulebook, and get one of the mini ones from the starter set. I can't believe anyone buys the BRB.

Well, of course, when the edition is just coming out, but after that, it's just sort of a status symbol. I have one for fifth, but it never left the house, because it was just too much weight, and whenever a discrepancy came up, the answer was usually in the mini book...

Do this, leave it in your bag.
Or
Put your army list on top of it and keep it on your gaming table so no one touches it.
Or
as you said(the OP) "leave it under the table with the rest of my stuff so if they bend down and get it i know what happening."

Never underestimate the ability of a polite, but firm, lecture to shape up nearly anyone. First off, you're polite so you're not labeled as some hothead who screams at people at the drop of a hat. Second, you're firm, so you're being very very clear about what is not acceptable, and it's a very hard sell for people to try to get others on their side when you weren't being an absolute a-hole and simply telling them to not use your things without permission, because that's going to be a huge issue for nearly anyone in this hobby; we tend to appreciate people not messing with our stuff.
In my gamestore, I've lectured quite a few people when they grab my things without my express verbal permission. They don't bitch, they just back down and I've yet to see anyone I've talked to repeat the mistake, with mine or others property. Also, be an example: ask to use everything from someone else, even if it's dice or templates. Unless you're dealing with completely unreasonable people, the behavior will change. And if they're completely unreasonable, find others to play with.
Final solution if nothing else works: Guard your book like a mother bear. Where you go, it goes. Someone so much as twitches a finger on it, call them on the behavior immediately. A simple, "Dude, don't take my stuff without permission," will send a perfect message, even if you are a nice guy. You need to walk away, find a trusted friend to keep an eye on your stuff.

A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
