Subject: Can you recommend some on line stores or other sources for collecting war machine / iron kingdoms

Hi Everyone
So I am going to do the Iron Kingdoms RPG with a few friends. My goal is to introduce them to miniatures and stuff. My question is where can I get the best prices from a reputable seller? I am in the bay area geographically if you know of any sources in that area other than Gator and Game Kastle ( i know them). Are there any on line places i should be looking? I have checked out ebay.
So with my goal of doing roleplaying I will probably want more single models and less whole units. I expect a few combats with units and war jacks but that will probably be later on.
Thanks for your help
jim

PP has IKRPG minis available still I believe,
and many stores like miniaturemarket or thewarstore will have models available at discount.

Are there any places that would be good for painted minis? I would like the players minis to look good and when i tried to paint , well crappy would be a compliment.

Well, you could try looking up some painting tutorials, they helped me out a lot.

With that said, I shall back away slowly and ominously and disappear in a puff of smoke, then smuggle some fruit across the border in order to stay competitive with the veggie cartel. |

There aren't any pre-painted warmachine minis, you could buy up a bunch of the pre-painted dnd minis and glue them to 30 40 or 50 mm bases...

well i was actually meaning a place where painter such as you guys sell minis. not pre painted but rather post painted by pros.
At least for the minis representing the party members so they could have something that looks great and entices them into the full minis experience. I can paint i have a couple of guys to give me pointers even. They wont look great but bad guys don't need to be awesome

20% discount on EVERYTHING and they just did a clearance where I got me a battle engine for like 40% off! Also they have a reward program too making it more like 21%.
Have had 0 problems with them so far.

It may be fun for you to let your players have a crack at painting their figures. It lets them "invest" in their character and if they don't paint well then you can get a good laugh out of it as well (not in a mean way but in a way friends do with friends).

I like thewarstore and Amazon for online stuff.
http://www.thewarstore.com/
The warstore alone has over 20 games/manufacturers under the fantasy tab and seem to give a decent discount. Amazon is great, especially if you have Prime. I have found things for 50-60% off with free shipping.
for more single minis look at caster, solos and UA and WAs.
If you don't mind non- PP minis then reaper has a huge selection and a "mini-finder" where you can narrow down alot of your selection.
http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder
For bases you can just buy 30MM bases just about anywhere.
Other games such as Malifaux (Wyrd Miniatures), Mantic games and Confrontation (Rhakham) also have single minis and small groups and some of the stuff is very similar to IK stuff.
http://wyrd-games.net/shop/
You can also look at GWs Warhammer and Mordhiem models and even D&D models. Though the GW stuff that I have is a different scale and style than WM.
There is a literal TON of places out there that do models, bits, etc. Some do their own, some do models/bits for other games, etc.
It really depends on what you are looking for and how specific it needs to be.
