One million copies of the documentary film that presents evidence Barack Obama’s real father was Communist Party activist Frank Marshall Davis have been mailed to households in the crucial presidential-election swing state Ohio.
Filmmaker Joel Gilbert told WND his mass distribution of his documentary “Dreams from My Real Father” is an attempt to bypass an establishment media blackout.
…Gilbert also has sent another 100,000 copies to New Hampshire, and he has plans to send 1 million to six more swing states.
His effort through his company, Highway 61 Entertainment, is governed by the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court decision, which barred government from restricting independent political expenditures by corporations and unions.
The film was recently endorsed by Alabama state GOP chairman Bill Armistead (he reportedly calls it “factual” and “absolutely frightening”), and it has received a certain amount of attention due to an advert placed in the New York Post. A central plank of Gilbert’s argument is that Marshall Davis supposedly took intimate photos of Stanley Ann Dunham that were published in pornographic magazines; this claim was widely discussed back in 2008. The film itself came out several months ago.
And so, we finally reach what is, in my opinion, the lowest American politcs has sunk to in my lifetime. Congratulations Karl, you can finally relinquish your throne.

Both campaigns seem to have chalked up PA as going blue, and it's kinda nice that we've been spared a lot of the usual madness. Normally we get bombarded since we live in one of the big Philly suburban counties that tend to decide which way PA goes. Of course, I'm still getting robo-calls for Congressional and local races. Still, the relative peace has been nice.
Edit: Regarding the DVD, it wouldn't shock me if dotted lines can be traced back to the Koch brothers.

A million DVDs isn't that cheap to print, then add shipping costs, cost of envelopes, and of course the cost of the production itself and you are looking at a decent chunk of change; I have to wonder where all the money is coming from.

Here's what I don't get about this particular appeal. This guy is one of those guys who puts Israel at the heart of thier ideology right next to hating socialism. When will someone tell them Israel is a progressively socialist nation? I don't think the "nutjobs" ever lay thier beliefs next to each other for comparison. Like "abortion bad, sanctity of life" and "criminals bad, hang them all"

Maybe it's the Third parties trying to make them BOTH look like idiots.
Yesterday the Libertarian candidate was on campus and the radio program I listen to on the way to school. He made a funny. The host asked about people who vote for a 3rd party throwing away thier vote. "well if everyone throws away thier vote on Gary Johnson, I'm the next President." I love that this guy knows he can't win so he's willing to make the funnies like abolishing the IRS.

The winner probably won’t be decided by old video clips, gaffes, or even campaign money, but by turnout and the October debates — depending on whether incumbent Obama comes across as a petulant Carter and challenger Romney appears an upbeat Reagan. As in 1980, voters want a better president — but they first have to be assured he’s on the ballot.

Does the Debates really have that much of an impact? Only a couple comes to mind that may have budged the meter:
1) Nixon's sweaty debate vs JFK
2) Reagan's "There you go again" vs Carter
3) Gore's aggressive "invading Bush's space" vs Bush (who just looked at Gore and gave him an acknowlegded nod)
But other than that... most of the debates (imo) was snoozefests...

It's real, but it was a very lucky shot.
McCain was walking of the stage on the wrong side and was following Obama by mistake. Moderator informed him that he was going the wrong way and he did a super quick "oh crap" pose before turning around. Really only lasted a second or so, the guy just happened to take the picture at the perfect time:

We get all kinds of attacks on politicians here, but you'd never see anyone claim that someone was secretly the son of a communist. Is that kind of crazy just an American thing?
Same, I've never seen anything like this in the UK. Hell, Gordon Brown was on anti-depressents yet there was no way anyone could use it - publically mocking someone for having mental health issues really, really isn't going to make you look good.
So ultimately, I suspect things like this happen in the USA because they can get away with it there. I guess it works.

As far as I can tell, Ohio is a repository for lawyers, as almost everyone I know from there is one. At this point if someone tells me they are from Ohio I just assume they are a lawyer.
