Edit: Here is what I've accomplished:

and

So I saw this on GWs site awhile back:

I really, really, like the way it looks. Is there anyone who knows how to convert a broadside to this?

Looking at him (as the gw page seems to be gone, and I can't get a good cached copy)... of course, more pics would help...but from what I can see...

I would say;
The back:
Its just the front half of the jetpack, don't glue on the back.
Missile pods put where the jetpack would be.
Part of a sniper drone back there too.
Can't tell whats on the bottom...

The torso
Standard crisis torso
Some sort of "neck collar" - not sure what bit that is. Could just be plasticard or some sprue piece.
The head - been shaved down, or modified...hard to tell in pic.

Arms
Shoulder is crisis
Elbows - thats a bit from a sniper drone there.
Forearm - looks like crisis arm, hard to tell.
hands - cant see

Legs
Might be unmodified legs, could have been broken and repositioned...hard to tell.
feet look more like crisis feet than BS feet.

Railgun
Standard BS rail gun
Shield generator on side
Tau antenna (drone?) on bottom and top
Stealth team part on the bottom

I have seen similar conversions before, but have to say I really like this one...the missiles on the back where the jetpack would go, is a creative touch.
Usually, you see two railguns (to simulate the twinlinking) but personally, I don't think that is a big deal.
I like the shield part and the neck collar - helps give the appearance of a better protected suit...(hence the 2+).

Overall, a great piece. I look forward to any other information on it... while I think I got the basics of it in my list above, I am sure I missed some things...would love the see the back.

thanks for sharing!!!

If it helps:

That is the page I got the photo from. (First saw it in a magazine at a Hobby Store though, White Dwarf I am assuming).

it validates a couple of my assumptions....

Sounds like you have most of the info you need to know to get started!

One challenging part might be exactly how to attach the gun to the hands, but a bit of googling "broadside conversions" might help with that.

If you do start, please post up some pics!!!

The weapons are Hammerhead weapons, but otherwise its a crisis suit with additions.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

The Hammerhead Rail Gun is way bigger than that.

That is how I managed to find that GW page, that is all I could really find that was helpful for the conversion idea.

Looks pretty good. Slightly odd visually that the missile pods are pointing a different direction to the head and rail gun, but I don't see any obvious alternative - other than rotating the head to match the missiles, but then the rail gun would be pointed to the side. Doesn't really matter logically, as they're guided missiles anyway I suppose

So long as you explain to opponents that these are a new experimental Broadside with an improved single rail gun barrel which fires twin-linked, making it count-as a normal Broadside, I doubt you'll have any problems using them, even in tournaments.

Considering I put the little thing on the bottom of the gun to count as a laser sight of sorts I'd be sad if they had issues with me using them =/
