Read an article online bout this movie, and apparently Tonto will have "conversations" with the bird headpiece during the course of the movie...
Though the movie does look splodey enough for just about anyone

Yes, although there may be an exception, as policy I don't spend money on Bruckheimer films, at least since the 1980s. After checking wiki, Pirates are the exception. It says he was part of Blackhawk Down. Is that true? It seems way beyond him and I thught that was a RIdley Scott film.

So I guess it is okay because he stated that he is maybe at least 1/8th Native American, but I would have figured that they would have gotten somebody that most people don't think of as a white guy to play Tonto.
Probably just overly sensitive here though.

Looks bad, sick of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. They're both too weird, Johnny is alright because he can atleast act, but Helena can do only one role, weird, because thats how she is in real life. What makes it worst is Johnny Depp playing a Native American, and judging by the comments above, he'll probably be the comedic relief of the movie. Yay.

She can do uptight Brit reasonably well too. Her weird phase kicked in after Fight Club and spiraled after she met Tim Burton. Before that, she was stuck in Merchant Ivory phase.
