I play a lot of scenerios which involves entering building to disarm/set/turn off various bombs/control panels etc etc etc...

I want to get some Aragoto bikers (cause i dont already have them! ) and thought they'd be handy to zoom up the board, jump off and run the rider in to the objective.

Thing is, when he gets off does he still have Mimetism? Or is that part of the bike?

Just in case you're wondering i am going to use Ceslestial guard as the dismounted bikers but they'll obviously be painted the same as the riders!

The ONLY part of the profile that changes from what I can see is movement, so the rest of the profile should be used as is. Mimetism included.

Bear in mind they ARE impetuous, though, and that can be used to draw them away from objectives.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Cool! Just what I wanted to here!

As for Impetuous, tell me bout it! :( I'm having real problems getting my 5 Haqqi Kum bikers to work well for me! Funnily enough though I don't have the same issues with my Shaolin Monks!?!

Sorry, but I think the rulebook says they can´t dismount at all. I don´t have the rulebook here right know, but I´m pretty sure about it...

They can dismount any time the want, they just lose the great move if they do.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

There's a short move skill specifically for it:

Yep: Dismount is a short movement skill and they become MOV 4-4 afterwards. That's the only change as a result. I'd like to see dismounted minis released for the Kum bikers (I don't really care about YJ yet) eventually - although, to be fair, I'd hardly ever use them.

Like Emperors_Champion, I struggle to get my Kum bikers to work for me. It can be done but requires a finesse of orders and smoke grenades use (and, I suspect, of Vogged) to really make it happen. However, I'm looking forward to a sectoral army that makes them either Linkable or Regular or both.

Coordinated Orders is very important if you're running several of them, plus good use of the light smoke grenade launchers to hide gaps for the ones further back.

Can you use the bikers as a link team? For 5 Kum that would be quite handy.......?
maybe it's worth looking at terrain placement to give yourself a covered "road" to zoom down, at least you can get shot in the other half of the board

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing

Oddly enough there are no linkable bikers so far...
