This one's starting to pick up even more steam now!

£35,000 - Brythoniaid Rhyfelwr Infantry Starter Host

Well, here we are at £31,000 (!) and the Fomoraic host is almost with us - so it's time to bring you another one... this time for the Brythoniaid, in the moustachioed shape of the Rhyfelwr Infantry Starter Host!

Unlocked at £35,000, increase your pledge by £60 to get a hold of this infantry starter host, just like the rest!

Note that the Rhyfelwr are not yet sculpted, but the lovely Yannick Hennebo should be starting work on them next week. This means that this host should ship in February 2016. They may ship earlier, but let's give ourselves room to manoeuvre, just in case.

At this point I'm trying to limit myself to ONLY four factions or so.

My Ysians and Norse seem to be my primaries (as I have full forces for them painted)....

But it's so hard to not want more....

I believe Mierce said that these two little piggies are brand new sculpts, not repose/alterations like the other monsters.

It would be nice to at least unlock the Spear Vras, so that they can actually become a semi legit kindred. I would prefer the Sarvar to get released, or at least something for the Khthones. I'm really surprised that they didn't do a host with the Gorgorar at least. They're thin snake women, and I'd assume they'd benefit a lot from a metallic overhaul.

I'd guess the problem would be they'd either end up being a host at about 2-3x the cost of the other hosts,

which means there would certainly be new folk who'd not notice and end up disgruntled

They could do a Gorgorar starter, it would just need to follow a different formula (but then again, so did the Byzanti). The other factions roughly total £165 .

Each gets you a commander, a unit and a caster. I'm not sure on how the gold costs add up though.

I'm tempted to go in for a starter set on this, looking at the ysian set with the brutes. The only thing putting me off is small parts in metal that can't be pinned, and those antler helms look like they would all need doing. Can anyone either confirm, assuage these concerns? Cheers

The antler helms were fine in resin, I dont think you could pin them they are very small joins. I dont tend to pin metal models at all though including Infinity minis and not had much of an issue, as long as they dont get bashed about in a case they should be ok.

Right - just so you all know - the November shipping [Metal Age] starter hosts will be removed from the store at the end of August, so that we can lock in the work for the caster. The others will be removed later of course.

(and I suspect Rob won't be able to be as flexible with these as he tend to be with other stuff since there will be an outside contactor with their own production slots to consider)

£34,750 - Gogg, Moroghurüc

Just for completeness' sake, here's a monster for the Albainn... a mighty Moroghurüc called Gogg!

Gogg is a big lad - he stands on a 120mm base and is around 130mm tall - as he's based on the awesome Mjagnir miniature for the Norse. Suitably Albainn-ed up, he becomes a Moroghurüc with the choice of either a Cyclops head (one eye) or Giant head (two eyes)!

Gogg will only be produced in resin - he is too big to be produced in metal.

Increase your pledge by £50 to get a hold of him, a saving of around 30% from the eventual RRP!

I'm hoping they just make them one part in metal.

Currently at £35,949 with 1 hour to go - so £37,500 might be a bridge too far in terms of getting that Byzantii host in metal unlocked...

So while I'm glad that Egaendr has long since been unlocked, I'm bummed that metal Im III Judas troops look to be 'next time' now!

I've never had a problem with mine, and they've been handled by hundreds of people during GenCon demos.
