Well, I just beat it. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with the end game. I was expecting something where you hunted down the loyalists, like what you did for the traitors. Oh well, still a great game.

I picked it up yesterday. lots of fun sneaking around.. I'm really doing my best to not kill anyone. I manage to knock out a few guards but then one sees me, then there's suddenly 50 of em and I end up chopping them up into teeny bits. I'd love to be able to not have any deaths, but they force my hand.

I know the feeling... at lease give me a stick to beat them down instead of ruthless murder!

Run. I've managed to avoid fights, and even avoid any deaths, after getting attack by a dozen guards. Using Blink and Possession you can hightail it out of most sticky situations without resorting to bloodshed. And it's bloody good fun too! Very exciting trying to outdistance your pursuers by blinking up walls and jumping rooves, or turning into their mate, wandering round the corner, and quietly putting him to sleep.

If I get the perk that makes people turn into dust when I kill em, but manage to stay uncovered, will they still count as kills that make it high chaos? or is it only chaotic if bodies are found?

It's based on kills...
The upgrade of that perk allows you to kill and they turn to dust even when they know you're there.
After playing the game on a High Chaos run trying not to kill people is fairly easy...

So the one where any kill turns to dust doesn't make high chaos? or they both do? Right now I have the level 1 version and so far I haven't dusted anyone yet even when I'm sure they don't see me coming :/

They both do. Chaos is increased based on kills period. Not whether said kills were stealthy or not.

I have level 2 and sometimes it doesn't even work

I've never had it not work before...

I don't think this counts as necro, but I got this on Monday and not just got round to playing it, and have only finished the first mission so far.
I spent the entire mission reloading and replaying so that I could do it without killing or being detected, and then there's the bit in the sewer with the rats and those two guards, and apparently that means that I killed them.
On the results screen I said that I got ghost, but didn't get through without killing anyone.
Which irritates me.

Never mind, I hid two guards in the trash bin next to the ate that you attach the explosive to, and apparently the explosion can hit through the bin.

Yeah the game makes it kinda painful to deal with hiding bodies and the like sometimes. You never know when a bunch of rats are gonna pop up and kill any one you left behind.

ehhh, this game doesn't make sense to me. How the heck do homicidal rat swarms randomly appear because of the deaths of a few dozen soldiers? And so far from where the men died?

I finished it the other day. Does it have multiple endings? Mine seemed happy enough. Some missions I killed a lot, but most I didn't. Even if I thought I didn't kill anyone there would still be a couple deaths. On the last mission though I didn't care, I just killed everyone and everything. Got too lazy to try and hide bodies and I had the skill that made corpses go poof.

It was fun overall. One day I might go back and try and do a no death playthrough... or a destroy everything playthrough.

The game has multiple endings judged by the end of mission reports ie the amount of chaos caused.

I am pretty much the same as you Necros, i got rather frustrated on the last mission because there is just soooo many enemies I found it impossible to sneak anywhere.

Its definitely a game you could play through more than once.

I think it represents the increased lack of control the watch has over the plague afflicted areas...
Incidentally after playing a muderburgle playthrough a mercy playthrough is much easier...

I preordered this on Steam so I could get a free copy of Arx Fatalis.

To this day I have played neither game.

Arx Fatalis was a bit odd but enjoyable IIRC...
