Subject: Raven Guard and tracked vehicles?

As somewho who is still quite new to the whole 40K thing, I`m having a hard time deciding what vehicles I`d use for a Raven Guard army. Want it to stay a bit fluff wise, but not be stuck on just Drop Pods and (in the grey areas of the category) Dreads. Was thinking Razor-back because of its versatility, but I read somewhere that they are usually the hallmark of a large armored force, which doesn`t seem like something that the RG would bother with. Land Raider seems too huge for the purpose, so I`m thinking Land Speeders. But what other vehicles would they use? Any "record" of them using a specific type of vehicle?

Whereas to an englishman the taking of a sledgehammer to crack a nut is a wrong decision and a sign of mental immaturity, to a russian the opposite is the case. In russian eyes the cracking of nuts is clearly what sledgehammers are for.

They are a Codex chapter, they just prefer faster vehicles. So speeders and Bikes will be fluffy.
You could use the BA codex for Counts As RG. That way you can have Jump Packs as troops.

There's a Raven Guard captain in Imperial Armor 8 (I think) who makes Assault Marines Troops. Korvyde? Something like that.
Barring that, the fluff-problems with using the Blood Angels Codex abound (Stormravens, Death Company, and Sanguinary Priests would make no sense, meaning you will have removed most of the reasons to take the list); I'd advise using Drop Pod Tactical Marines and Scouts as your Troops choices for a Raven Guard army.

As said, they are a Codex chapter. They use all vehicles.
Infact, one of the main reasons Blood Angels would work well is because they could then have Thunderhawk-inserted (deep-striking) Land Raiders, which Raven Guard are fond to do according to Lexicanum.

As others have said, they have access to them, just prefer other transports. One thing I would make sure of when putting together a Raven Guard list would be to make sure everyone on foot has a transport. So only buy razorbacks for 5-6 man squads, and get rhinos for full 10 mans.

Raven Guard specializes in fast attack and infiltration tactics but it also operates conventional assault units of Rhinos/Razorbacks, Predators, Land Raiders, and Whirlwinds

To stay fluffy, means there is no real limit for the range of vehicles used.
It is all about the mission and the best tools to achieve the objective.
Even a tactical solid approach, doing your recon, may lead to a strongly mechanized advance.
So why would the Raven Guard be stuck with infiltrating at foot? The only source I could remember would be the 4th ed traits system. But thats outdated now.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I guess since they`re Codex they could basically use landraiders and having them stormraven delivered is survivable I think, but I don`t want to be just lining up armor and going "come at me, bro" (at least, not with the RG). So I`m guessing a Razorback kit and leaving the guns loose so it can be converted to a Rhino. Running a Razorback with 8 man stern or VV seems cool (yes I know it seems stupid if you could have access to a Land Raider and termies, but I just wanna try that).

Korvydae is supposed to run the 10th if you go by FW.. I don`t know, but for some reason a scout captian trashing around with a thunder hammer seems a little off to me.

1hadhq really said it best, the most fluffy thing about RG is how strategic and tactical they are, they will use anything at their disposal to ensure victory.
