Got a sweet deal on a used Baneblade from a fellow gamer for $50. It came painted in a bright Chaos pink.
I took it home and left it to soak in a container full of Purple power stripper for about two days. Then I cleansed it
of Chaos p(t)aint with a toothbrush, and refinished it back to to its Imperial colors.

I always felt the the front tracks of the Baneblade looked rather naked and vulnerable, so I cut off the front bogey wheels (Heresy!)
trimming its length back to the forward edge of the front track guards. I think it gives the tank a pugnacious look. I also lengthen the main gun barrel
with a plastic tube to make it look like, well, a really big gun! A IG flag, a tow chain up front, and some bits for stowage were added for good measure.
I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I LOVE IG SUPER-HEAVIES!! This is amazing!!

I'm a huge fan of the camoflauge scheme, and I'm in love with the chains you put on the front. Also the fact that you got it for 50 bucks makes me enormously jealous!

Well done, indeed!

I love the smell of cordite in the morning.

Great stuff. A really good looking small force you have there. And I love stories of rescued monstrocities.

Thanks. Actually I had several more units off the board in reserve. This was part of 2000 point army I had in a face-off with a Chaos opponent.
I lost :( -----from failing to capture enough objectives. Did manage to kill off most of his army, though.

It amazes me that people have the patience to paint tanks so big, especially to such a high standard. I salute your dedication, sir. It clearly shows on the finished product.

This looks great. My brother has been procrastinating with painting his baneblade. I think I'll show him ur badass paintjob, should inspire him!
I like the change you made to the barrel on the main cannon. It looks like it could punch holes through landraiders with ease.

Whoa! Nice work; loving the colors and feel of that BANEBLAAAADE!

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

Very good job. Your army reminds me a lot of my own IG army, just in a darker colour scheme. I should really get around to painting my FW Arkurion Pattern Stormblade so you guys can see it. Maybe I should do a painting blog on it?

Simply beautiful work. Definitely one of the better Baneblade's that I've seen. I really love the flag, gives it a certain touch that gives it a little something extra
