Sunday is a fasting day for me, which I find both relaxing and invigorating at the same time. Made a lovely Tomato soup with chilli, basil and garlic from scratch, after taking my pup up on the moors with the missus. We went to Saddleworth:

Ah.

Then a bit of light reading and a cuppa before bed.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

The same thing I usually do on sundays.

It's my gaming time. Kick off to the club, hang out with mates, play mandollies and have beer.

There's nothing on tv that I consider worth watching at the moment, and precious few movies I want to see (and the ones I'd watch with the mrs, we've already watched).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Aside from Dakka, what else are you doing to relax and restore your soul and body today?

I slept in, then made two kinds of waffles from scratch for breakfast- unsweetened ones as vehicles for fruit preserves, and sweet cinnamon ones to carry real NH/VT maple syrup. Then I watched two movies with the wife- Wilde and Un Amour le Femme, before putting football on. The Pats/Seattle game has been accompanied by a lovely Indonesian-style garlic & ginger pork chop, some garum masala chicken with jasmine & saffron rice, and now a bowl of cashews with mimosas. Fresh OJ & champagne may be my favorite Sunday drink, even over a good beer. Trying to decide if I'm going to do any modeling work- I need to get a Sorcerer on a bike put together for 40k.

Sometimes you just have to appreciate how good we have it.

We had one of the strongest lightning storms in some months come through. Evidently I was the only one who noticed.

Walked Rusty and the Rocket for a long fast walk, then meandered around the neighborhood with TBone and agiant mug of coffee. I like to to walk them separately on Sunday so the other dogs can get a real fast walk in (we had to push though some fallen treeage), and Tbone can sniff and go his own pace-watch as snails out pace us. He sniffed a bug, was not impressed and stepped on it.
Later short workout. I hurt the old back when I got rear-ended Friday coming into Austin.
Wife in Chi Town for a school anniversary so no church services, but did have to go in for a vestry meeting.
Wife's plane late but managed to get in before I have to head out for Houston. Then the long drive, this week bringing back Rusty for a few days.

Kinky?

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

My relaxing Sunday (which looks like it will run to Tuesday, ahh fall break ruined) project is to turn this:

Into this:

My progress in posting my lack of progress to Dakka is hindered by this

who insists on sleeping on me, while I stand, at my computer bench. This picture really only serves to tell me I need to make working out a regular occasion again.

I'm sure spider kitty can arrange some more roof climbing calisthenics for you.
