Subject: A few of quick questions about chaos space marine weapons

As the title says just a few quick questions that have been annoying me that i cant find the answer to.
1. Do chaos terminators use twin linked bolters or storm bolters? (im not bothered about the fact its a combie bolter i just wana know what the bare basic weapon is called)
2. What is the difference between a twin linked botler and storm bolter?
3. Can a standard bolt pistol be customized to become a combie bolter?
4. Dose any one know why the imperium stopped using power talons and started using power claws. Is there any effective difference between the two? If so what are the pros and cons of both.
Thanks for reading i hope you all can shed some light on these questions they have been pestering me for a while.

1. Chaos Terminators use Twin-Linked Bolters. All Terminators did at one point, before the Storm Bolter entered production after the Heresy. Chaos Legions stuck with what they had.
2. The first is two Bolters stuck together, the second is a bigger Bolter. Ruleswise, one is twin-linked Rapid Fire and the other is Assault.
3. No.
4. No such thing as a power claw. Do you mean Lightning Claw?

Power claws have appeared in the fluff, usually used by the mechanicum or Chaos.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it. |

I stand corrected. I would suggest that Power Claw/Talon and Lightning Claw are more or less interchangeable, in terms of how they worked and operated.

Storm bolters can be weilded in power armour by marines or even unaugmented humans such as battle sisters, but they generally need to be used two-handed like a rifle or machine gun, while a terminator can control them one handed.

A twin linked bolter is 2 bolters stuck together firing together. A storm bolter is also 2 bolters stuck together that fire together. Functionally there has never been any great detail in how they are different, however it allows a slightly different take on the rules side. this allows a slight differentiation with Chaos troops with slightly better close range firepower, compared to slightly better long ranged firepower on the Imperial side.

Difference mostly is that a Twin-Linked Bolter is two Boltguns hooked up to a single firing mechanism. Pulling the trigger fires both, like all twin-linked weapons. A Storm Bolter is a single weapon with two barrels.

Tactical Squad Sergeants, Captains, etc. are all allowed to take Storm Bolters as wargear, so yes.
