This is getting silly. I didn't state that he was in there because it is default. There is no other option and of course has already been included in the points.

Are the wolf Gaurd in terminator armor? I'm assuming yes because of the CML...
What's the strategy for the list? Who's the RP staying with, what powers?
Remember, 2 of those pods have to drop on the first turn. If you go first, they going to take a lot of fire

I meant no offense Jarl Marius. Sorry if I came off as rude.
Edited to show the TDA and Long Fang Pack Leaders.
Rune Priest and Arjac stay with the wolf guard.
The Wolf Guard deploy front lines and apply pressure as soon as possible while I wait for the drop pods. I do realize that the grey hunters will take fire as soon as they come in. My strategy behind the 3 pods is this.
1. Rhinos seem to get blown easily and then my grey hunters get shot up more than when they just drop out of the pod before they get to shoot.
2. Footslogging is the other option I feel is viable but I think that it requires hordes of grey hunters and possibly allies which I do not have and I want to keep the army completely space wolf.
3. Drop pods allow me to get 2/3 of my troops on the board turn 1 shooting there special weapons and bolters at high priority targets before they are shot at. This also allows for the ultimate mobility of the reliable drop pod deep striking to any point on the board that is required. The third drop pod comes in on a 3+ turn two to reinforce.
I was considering maybe adding an aegis defense line with a com relay to make sure that pod comes in turn two and also to help with flyers but I am not sure. I will probably use one at about 2000 points though.

I like the list!!
There are a few things I would change.
1) Drop the WG unit for a strong GH unit dropping in. There are several reasons for this.
First off how you have the squad tooled out I am guessing that you have the PF on the termi as well? This load-out puts 73 points of your 185 point unit on one model, and chances are you will be using this model to try to save the rest of your squad as 18 point cannon fodder models are quite an expensive investment. If you roll a single 1 (1:6 chance) you lost almost half of your squad on one failed save. Sure you have an invul save but 5+ isn't much for a 73 point non IC model, he will get singled out by a unit with AP 1 or AP 2 weapons and then you just spent that many points on 2 ML shots.
Second, 3 scoring units is far from impressive. If you trade this so-so unit in for a 10 man GH unit with 2xplas, standard, and MotW then you are gaining a very solid mid field unit that can take a few casualties without much worry. This also gives you another scoring option! We all know those objectives are FAR more important than actually wiping out your opponent.
Third is this is not giving your opponent a point sink unit to shoot at that they can quickly eliminate. 10 bodies is much harder to eliminate (not to mention offers more firepower) than 5 bodies even if one is in Termi armor.
Finally, Arjac truly is a beast in CC, but will he really survive a turn of shooting from almost any team? It is possible but I am convinced the only way to run Arjac is in a Land Raider so he can get out and destroy some ICs without being exposed to fire. (This will free up enough points for almost anything in the codex)
2) Drop the Power weapons out of your GH squads. This is a shooting and counter assault list, if you want them in your plasma squads then be my guest but they are a waste of points in your melta and flamer squads MotW isn't the most reliable way to cause AP2/3 wounds but it outclasses a power weapon in most situations and keeps the squads at a manageable cost. You can keep them on the plas squads as they will be the ones dealing with most 2 and 3+ save units.
3) Split that flamer squad into 2 squads of 5 for your objectives or side objectives. Drop all other upgrades and just drop both squads in last. You also gain another pod by doing this, this will give you 3 strong squads on field turn 1 to beat some face with 2 smaller supporting squads coming on after the 1st turn to support their wolf brothers by putting some wounds on weaker units before the stronger squads assault, or they can simply drop in on objectives and deploy behind the pods for a quick cover save from heavy weapons.
4) LF squads are good but I'm not a fan of mixing 1 weapon in with a squad of MLs. Simply put you still kill the Sgt first so you will be wasting points on that Lascannon as it will be doing the job of a Krak Missile most turns. I see why you want the LasCannon in there, but after the above suggestions you have enough points for 5 of them in their own squad for some AP2 death. I'm really not a fan of LasCannons on LFs but they seem to have a place now in 6th edition wolves as we have no real AA firepower this squad alone will stop any opponent from putting those flyers into hover mode as they will get blasted off the board the next turn.
In the end here is how I would tweak the list to:
HQ
RP (just PA)- LL, JotWW (Divination) Not sure how you planned on using this guy. I suggest running him up front where he belongs, but finding him room in a drop pod can be difficult on turn 1 as you want as many special weapons melting your opponent's models as possible. I'll leave this up to you
Troops
10x GH - 2x Plas, MotW, Standard, Drop Pod
10x GH - 2x Plas, MotW, Standard, Drop Pod
10x GH - 2x Melta, Motw, Standard, Drop Pod
5x GH - Flamer, Drop Pod
5x GH - Flamer, Drop Pod
Heavy
6x LF - 5x ML
6x LF - 5x ML
6x LF - 5x LC
This comes to 1470 so if you wanted those power axes on the plas squads you have room, you could also beef up a flamer squad (2 more GH) and put the rune priest in there for better midfield control. With Jaws sniping off termis and special weapons.

i think that completely losses the flavour of the list,
maybe keep the terminators, loose two men from each greyhunter squad and a special waepon, and ad a termie WG with a combi melta and a powerfist or ss.
so
hq
rune priest
9xGH (Runepriest) meltgun,standard, wolfen,droppod
8xGH, (WG termie combie melta powerfist) meltgun, standard, wolfen, droppod
8xGH, (WG termie combie melta powerfist) meltgun, standard, wolfen, droppod
8xGH, (WG termie combie melta powerfist) meltgun, standard, wolfen, droppod
8xGH, (WG termie combie melta powerfist) meltgun, standard, wolfen, droppod
6xLF (WG termie CML) 5xmissles
6xLF 5xmissles
didnt bother calculating the points but think thats about 1500 Automatically Appended Next Post: ps termie with wolf standard = practicaly invincible for first round of combat if you use the bannner.

yea thats similar to what i run, i love the idea of wolf guard terminators 'tanking' (solves leadership problem too).
I purchase a pod for the wolf guard before they get detached so thats an extra blank pod to drop in subsiquent turns boosting the initial wave. Putting RP with LF and presience can keep warlord in backfield and help with any anti air (shouldn't be much at 1500). the worry here is if you don get first turn theres the chance of being tabled, maybe a lone wolf or two for durability?,
Having the wolf guard terminators leading the squads is awesome, i've had wolf guard termies hold up an archon and a csm lord (2 diffrent games ofc) for 3 turns long after GH's have died it really is quite fun with mixed armour (though a ball ache for rolling seperate saves)
I love DP wolves. airborne!

RP doesn't belong with LFs it is a really cool idea and would be awesome if it was worded every unit who has a model in 12 inches re-rolls failed to hit rolls. But you will be in essence re-rolling 1-2 misses a turn (sometimes 5 misses haha but rarely). If you stick him with the long fangs just give him LL, you then lose the whole flavor of RPs but it is much more effective than re-rolling to hit with LFs.
I also think you need to have some plasma in your drop pods, let the LFs worry about opening up transports then you can hit the contents with 4 AP2 shots rather than 2 AP1 shots. I really like the idea of loads of AT fire for turn one followed by a torrent of AP2 fire, but I would playtest both of the lists suggested above and see which works better! Both should perform well.

3 Basilisks could do it, 375 points. S9 means instant deaths, AP3 so no saves. Might have cover due to scatter, but then you have the rest of the IG gunline throwing whatever else into it. Which means auto cannons and lascannons and whatever else they decided to just cobble together. A 900 point IG gunline could fit a hella lot of them in there.

I would like to see that gunline deal with the 27 angry space wolves that drop down and melt those basilisks space wolf turn, as well as the 20 more coming soon. That is the beauty of the drop pod list. I will be on armies like that right away. There is no shooting these space wolves until they get close. Also there is no more holding the whole army in reserves to deny the drop. The armies that I really worry about are the ones that like me to be close.
I just came up with my 1999 list and I like it even more.

Was talking to SlyasR stating it's easy to kill 12 marines in cover. The rest of the list? Should be enough meat to grind through. They could bring plasma sponson'd executioners and enough guardsmen to bubble wrap them so that you won't be in range to get a shot off and if you charge, they'll run away leaving you open to plasma cannons.T'is just theory crafting though.
You could bring a couple of lone wolves w/ Termi/SS behind LoS in a corner somewhere to foot slog it to help your chances with the Alpha.

Agreed Imperial Guard are just solid all around and would put up a tough challenge and could come out victorious. I for one hate plasma turrets as you will most assuredly kill yourself but to each his own. I personally prefer the demolisher. Just because the opponent has an executioner with guardsmen wrapped around it does not mean that 30-50 space wolves right on top of them is not a serious problem for the guard is all I am saying.

Ofcourse it'd be difficult, as soon as you shoot they'll be forced to have a morale check, and if you charge you've probably just wiped a squad.
