Sad but true loki

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Talia looks much better than I would have thought.

The thing about this game is ... I'm not sure it's really better than playing Arkham City.

I'd love some Entrigan too, but I meant Ra's al Ghul.

In Comic Book land, his name has been translated as "The Demon's Head" or some such.

And you know we'll be getting Ra's eventually...

I'm still waiting for the Arkham version of Azreal!

Not just in comic book land: "Hamil Ra's Al-Ghul" () is the Arabic name for the constellation Perseus, roughly "Bearer of the Demon's Head".

Only if you can get your hands on the patch! Didn't get it on Steam so can't patch there, GFWL just sends me to an X-box site and I don't own one, can't find one outside of that, so am stuck battling Ra's as it won't give me the reverse batarang to defeat him! I'm sure that won't happen in the miniatures game!

Hubba hubba. why is it that I HAD forgotten that diamond in the rough!

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." TBH, she's a good actress who mailed it in on this one. But it's worth it nonetheless. And don't you think the outfit actually fits the Arkham City aesthetic?

It actually does - though sadly I doubt we'll see her in model form.

I'd bet we get a more modern incarnation of Batgirl though - and that would be OK!

Perhaps they'll do a fan favorites line. One can only hope.

Well, tabletop wise, it'd probably be more useful than an Oracle model. - Although, that'd be a pretty good collectors piece...

Is there an Oracle in the New 52?

From my understanding, there is. sort of... Bab's was Oracle for 6 months or so but 'got better.'

However, she still is in the Arkham-verse

She never has been a good actress, esp. not in this weird movie. And a blonde niece of Alfred with an eye mask has nothing to do with Batgirl (red headed daughter of commissioner James Gordon with bat ear mask), not even when wearing leather fetish clothes.

Babs doesn't need to be imprisoned in a wheelchair when other heroes aren't stopped by death. I despise the special interest group argument that DC needs to keep her in the chair to show that "handicapped people can be superheroes too." As Oracle, Babs was basically a high powered secretary -- NOT a superhero (unless you count comic adventures that occurred purely in virtual reality). If DC or anyone else was actually serious about depicting handicapped people as superheroes they would handle the topic with an A-lister rather than putting another B-list or lower female character "in a refrigerator" and pretending the result is poignant. That's WTF.

I never really thought of Oracle as a "high powered secretary"...
By the same vein of her "not being a superhero", I consider Batman to be the same thing.

They are individuals whose true power lies not in their fists but their intellects.

Uh no. Please look at any Batman comic, movie, game, etc, and you will see him jumping all over the place and doing bat-fu.

I don't have many red button issues but the idea that Babara Gordon should be kept in a wheelchair is one of them.

I wouldn't call Prof X (wheelchair) or Daredevil (blind) B-list. Both are Marvel though.

Well, I certainly wasn't calling either of them B-list.

Doom Patrol's Chief is also in a wheelchair, Doctor Mid-Night is (in some incarnations) blind, both DC characters.

I've always been fond of Oracle, but at the same time the ease with which various people bounce back from injury was always at odds with Babs' paralysis (Selina Kyle had her heart cut out and replaced and went back to her job as an acrobatic burglar).

Edit: to be somewhat on topic, any pictures of these models in the wild? How are they cast, what is the scale comparison, so on?

That's a little too cartoony for Arham City.

Weirdly though I've played the game so much that I know where in the city that is...
