I feel the same way. I want the Batman cover, but would rather have the Red Hood miniature than Alfred. However I doubt I'll be pre-ordering from them anyways until someplace a bit cheaper in cost/shipping sells it in the US.

Shipping to the US is 8 pounds (about $12). But, if you spend enough (I think its around $100) then the shipping is free.

Honestly, I worry that no US distributers will have a pre-order option. It has not seemed to pick up as a game in the US yet.

There is at least 1 UK retailer with the pre-order:

I've got the same concerns.

For me, it has been difficult to get these miniatures here in the USA.

Stores seem to take forever to get them, and stock levels are usually poor.

I think if we want the limited edition miniatures, we're going to have to order direct.

And sadly, I'd like to have both - but not at those prices!

According to the cart it is 75 Euro to get free shipping, which is roughly $88 but that gets offset because of tax. In my state we don't have sales tax, so whenever I have to pay tax, even when I'm traveling it is difficult for me to get over that hurdle. LOL! There is a concern for US distributors but there are also other factors other than simply price.

I am however interested in the League of Shadows pack, although I already have 'Talia Al Ghul' so I'll have to figure out what do with her but trying to justify $163 for Rulebook and League Pack is hard. I want to love this game, from what I've heard the rules and game itself are fun which is a plus. It also helps that a couple friends who are huge comics DC fans, we play DC Deckbuilding and the various expansions a lot. The miniatures examples look great painted but I'm not that good with free hand. When I did my initial miniatures review check to see quality of Nightwing and Talia Al Ghul (usually buy a couple miniatures before heavily investing into a new gaming system) I wasn't impressed. I'm used to dealing with Infinity which unfortunately had better detail and were easier to assemble. Now I do understand it is the DC name so I'm ok paying a bit more but the joints didn't line up properly, had to use greenstuff to fill in gaps and join (maybe they were bad casts?). A lot of the painted features you see in the 'samples' aren't actually on the miniature like Nightwings mask, Rhas tattoos and other fine details that requires good free hand skills. Granted I understand about things like tattoos but the mask is an easy feature detail to have. Although honestly no mask was great for me because my wife likes the miniature, so I will probably be able to use it as a proxy in a couple board games.

I'm still feeling it out, maybe I'll go in with a few people and take the plunge if they do. If they are happy, I can deal with the little stuff (although I'm more a Marvel fan). I will say though with Flash, Arrow, etc in the US I am surprised this hasn't been used to try to 'get more people into miniatures'. I have been sharing it and linking to friends that are into board games but huge DC fans, to try to get them into miniatures gaming more and so far the interest has been good.... whether that translates into actual sales is still to be seen though, making it harder to obtain unfortunately hurts that.

It's been confirmed that the Pre-Order Red Hood Joker will come with an AC Joker stat card, so it's a fun proxy.

Well, that'll be that bought then. No way in heck I'm going to miss out on him.

Unless he ends up being as constipated looking as MoS Superman.

It is showing at The Warstore so I may preorder it from there. I ordered a few other miniatures again to do a second review of them, just in case I ended up just with a bad batch.

I imagine it has something to do with a welcoming and positive attitude and a willingness to work with anyone to cover just about any game. Being a douche about a particular company or game system might help draw in members who feel the same way.. but while that fosters a community of sorts, it's not the kind of environment that fosters collaboration outside of their usual circles.

Hmm...yeah, I think it's the subdued groin thrust pose he seems to have, the pose on the other model is so much more.....dynamic I think is the word I'm looking for.

That's a crazily skinny interpretation of the arrow GA. It doesn't look like he has any pecs or shoulders!

That seems to be a style with the Knight Models in this line. The characters are really thin. I think of it as 35mm true scale, where the models are not very comically sculpted. It definitely shows in the legs and weapons, for instance.

Personally, I like the style for this game. But, I see the lack of pecks as being a bit off on this model.

Wife pre ordered the rule book last weekend. Really looking forward to it, both of us are big batman fans and its great to see her getting into more tabletop games (she started WHFB a couple of years back).

Think I will go for movie bane and cronies to start with

What dictates the size of your team? Does batman go solo or can you team up?

You pick a Reputation Limit for your game size. Batman can team up with most other heroes and the forces of Law.

Definitely feel like Starfire is a bit much for the game.

Though, to be fair, I thought the same for Lobo.

They already have Speedy (Arsenal) All that's missing is Starfire at this point, I doubt she'll make it in, at least until KM release the supers rules

That's a pretty poor Loki, with the possible exception of the face. That hand is awful!
