But Bob as who should he be affectionatly named was brought down by a Perials of the Warp attack ( ;( ) after surviving 12 waves .............. but its awesome , then again i outnumbered the infected on the first turn

honestly i would say find a way to increase the number of infected based upon how many defenders their were in numbers , My Guard can take 90 men for 400 points and thatl eft over 100 can go into flame throwers and Frag Grenades , With certain things what was a big shocker is my Guard dispatched many infected at the Bayounet . something i did tactics wise is made the ADL make a snake ( like the Game ) to were i had several walls over lapping so they couldn't charge without having to make 3 differnet difficult Terran checks , which made charging all but impossible . - Also limiting what kind of units someone can bring , for example if someone brought 10 Paladins led by Draigo with pysbolt ammo , force glaves and such ....... will cause for some funny fighting ... But the biggest thing i can see that helped my Guard with was simipliy volume of fire combine with wall of Death from all of hte Flamers i brought ...... maybe for the Defenders allow them to take Mines which make a certain area dangerous terrian and on the roll of a 1 & 2 the Model tripping it takes a Strength 4 hit

I am taking 10 of them. The zombies will live on the 3rd and 6th turn, since the guns need to reload, but still.

Every guns also come with 3 crewmen, who can fire (right?)

i thought about taking my Death Korp to lol , full infantry platoon with flamers in each squad along with 3 Thud guns ... the creman can't all fire because they are considered to be operating the gun .......but WS 4 is awesome on Guardsmen

I tried this game format with my friends and we really liked it. Although we changed the budget to 250 and I only used Ragnar then...

Would you allow me to use your zombies for my own, more RPG style zombie assault?
After all, I would not like to design my on new rules.

Again, I thought it would be just 1 rule too many, and if any zombies broke through enough to damage you're guys, you're probably dieing soon anyway.

Also, as someone prepping for an actual Z-Day, I recognise that there are non-infectious zombies such as BrainLeech Zombies.

I like the idea and scenario but it seems like it would be a little dull for the players as one is just moving the zombies forwards for the whole game (until right at the end) and the other is just shooting a stationary army at the blob over and over with barely any movement until it's too big and they lose.

The problem with game IMO is that it's too simple and needs more variety, i want to see the zombies scale through the rounds not just with numbers but with different units aswell e.g. in R3 zombie dogs show up and in R5 Alpha zombies come in and buff zombies near him and R8+ you unlock zombie MCs, this will make it more enjoyable for both players and stop the game going stale before it's finished, with the larger variety of units it also means the defender has to actually think about what units to take in the army e.g. assault units to deal with the fast dogs and heavier weapons to deal with the tougher zombies in the later rounds, not just spam flamers and the armys basic AI weapon.

It would also be pretty nice to see the game be less about luck and more to do with tactical thinking so you could include things like placing mines in positions around the board secretly on paper before the game began and the zombie player could write down one of the defenfers models which has been infected and joins the zombies side later on. Also it would be better i think if the zombie army comes on the board from multiple sides instead of one, as the defending team is in the midlle of the board which gives me the impression that they're surrounded, it also means both players need to think about positioning more and gives the game some fluency.

Just some ideas you could think about, might over complicate the game a little though. I could be completely wrong about the improvements as i've never played the mission, so it might be fine as it is.

A suggestion that i have is something along the lines of this --- Make it like an underground bunker so that units with insane lanes of fire don't get to have that full advantage , like space hulk . But also add something that the Defenders must accomplish in order to succed. I.E

Secure Ammunition Stores - When a model or Squad moves and secures this location in the hulk . then that unit may RE- Roll 1's to hit as the unit is no longer concerned with conserving ammunition .

Secure Control Room - In hopes of calling for help the defenders may choose to attempt to make it to the control room . if a unit(s) gain entrance they may attempt to access the mainframe , roll a D6 for results - if the model activating is one of the Preisthood of mars ( Tech Preist , Tech marine ect. ) then they may re-roll the result but must stay with the second result

1- Catasrophe ! - With some random button pushing the unwittful operator has opened the lab entance into the control room , spawn x2 D6 + 10 Zombies at the entrance

2-3 - Nothing happend ...-- can you read ?

4-5 - Security systems online - With some tinkering the operator happens upon activating a security system of heavy Flamers strewn about the faciltiy , as marked at the start of the game these markers are T3 S3 models and may be assulted

6- Help is on the Way ! - in a last ditch effort the operator has made contact with the ouside . the entire party must make for the exit topside ( were you Ageis idea comes in )

Well you can play with either no FoC, 1 required HQ or however you want. We played 250 pts. each (3 players, one controlled the zombies and his survivors) with no FoC.

Played another game today with the rules stated , had 50 Zombies on spawn and they went up on Interavels of 10
Senario was that the Survivors had to hold the ADL which was on a hill untill an Evac of sorts could Arrive in order to extract us , 2 zombie players ( each had 50 on Wave 1 so 100 total ) and 2 Suvivors 1 being me and my Death Korp and the other being my Allie who was Grey Knights

bascially all and all we held out for 22 Waves .... Grey knights would move up when the zombies got to close to my kreigsmen who lobbed Arty , onto the advancing the Morters and Heavy Quad launchers killed more then half every time , lasguns lit them up and the flamers torched em but the Grey Knights kicked some but to , over all it was great untill Attrition got to the Grey Knights and i got overun in wave 23 and my Quad's and morters wiped out a group of my own men lol and then i was promptly over run ..... ( Kreigs men ignore All negitive morale things because of special rules )

DEATH KORPS OF KRIEG SPECIAL RULES ( From Seige of Vraks book )


Hardened Fighters
Indoctrinated from birth in the martial traditions of the Korps,
all Death Korps soldiers are experts with the bayonet, and
Krieg commanders favour the bayonet charge in battle. All
Death Korps guardsmen have +1WS (where appropriate this
is already included in the stat lines given).


Iron Discipline
The Death Korps have no fear of death. They will gladly lay
down their lives in the name of the Emperor. A Death Korps
officer demands and expects nothing less from his men. Any
unit that is falling back but has at least one model within 6" of
a Krieg officer (of any rank) may attempt to regroup, even if
it is reduced to less than half strength.


Die Hards
The Death Korps are so firmly indoctrinated into the Imperial
faith that they will stand against any odds. Death Korps units
do not count negative modifiers when testing Morale after an
assault. They always use their standard Leadership value.

Thought it was just AV13+ vehicles that were banned? (@Icelord, they ar AV11. The Wargear makes it 13.)

In that case Deadshot, I would bring 3 Triarch Stalkers with Particle Shredders. They are AV11 Walkers with Wargear.

My group and I came up with this in 5th edition and i have since adjusted it for the 6th ed special rule changes and we find it works quite well for zombies.

Each survivor gets 300 - 500 points depending on the amount of people playing and 1 FOC, with no compulsory choices

Zombie stat block: WS 3, BS 0, S 3, T 4, W 1, I 2, A 2, no save, LD 6.

USR:
Feel no pain, Rending, Poisoned 4+, Fearless, Slow but Purposeful

other Special rules:
Movement: move each zombie squad D6 inches towards the nearest survivor in the movement phase, if they can then charge they will do so.

Infection: If a Survivor model is slain in close combat by a zombie, roll a D6 on a roll of 4+ the model gets up and fights as part of the zombie horde with the above profile, Necrons and Space marines are immune due to being machines and having organs to deal with poisons etc. and on an additional roll of a 5+ the infected individuals armour is still intact so they retain their armour save.

Deployment:
Survivors deploy within 12" of the centre of the board

Zombies Deploy D3 squads Scattering 4D6 x2 (modify depending on board size) from the centre
the sizes of the zombie groups are D6 x 5 strong (roll seperately for each group) on the roll of a 1 the squad is instead replaced by 1 monstorous zombie with the following profile:
WS 3, BS 0, S 5, T 6, W 4, I 2, A 3, no save, LD 6. - it has the same special rules and add monstorous creature to it unit type.

Each turn D3 more squads of zombies enter the board from a random edge.



also for 500 points i would run:

Codex BA
8 sternguard with combi flamers - 240
2 devastator squad with 4 HBs - 260

Warp Angel i really like the idea of introducing the infecting idea ... but Perhaps while infected they keep the same Armor save they had ? ( Dear god Terminator zombies ) just because you scrached them ( assuming ) dosn't mean the entire armors integrety is ruined . , so something like after infection is complete roll a D6 and on a 5+ the newly infected's armor is still intact

Thanks , im thinking about 28 weeks later how some of the infected troopers had body armor which would cetainly limit the effect of ballistics on them , But dear god ..... Terminators get infected ....hitting with his thunderhammer and his stormsheild .......FML , well i always can resort to swamping with 45 guardsmen
