Iron Guard are more disciplined but Valhallans are tough to defeat when they are on defense. So it's a draw.

They are comrades.

Mordians. Their uniforms are snazzier. Any good commander knows that the most important weapon any soldier has is a crisp, well-pressed uniform.

I would rather have a single squad of Mordians than a army of Vallhallans under my comand any day.

But what if the Death Korps launch a melee assault, then drop gas on themselves? The Mordians would have to choose between death or ruining their flawless uniforms to use as improvised gas masks.

Mordians any day. Just as Trondheim said, I would most certainly ask for a unit of Mordian Iron Guard before I went and secured a unit of Valhallan Ice Warriors.

Mordians. The Valhallans are just ripping off the old WW2 era Red Army slogan of quantity over quality. The Mordians probably make better soldiers.

lol okay. An army would still beat those Mordians down though, because with a small unit v.s. army, you'd have to be at least Catachan or special ops to pull off anything effective. Moridans would need initiative for that kinda thing. Which they aren't described as having. Anyway, a Valhallan army would include armor support, artillery, a crapton of Guardsmen, and more.

I see what you mean though, you just like Mordians more for their values and were exaggerating the point.

Anyway, I prefer Valhallans because of their Soviet-ness and because basic-unit spam and tanks was my way to play Red Alert 2/3, and the other RTS games that I have tried.

Valhallens, because norse/russian IG are just awsome.

Valhallans. The Mordian's are based off of Napoleon's armies - who lost to Imperial Russia, and Imperial Russia lost to the Soviets.

A better showdown would be Valhallans vs. Vostroyans. Pseudo-ruskies vs pseudo-ruskies.

This is actually a fairly tough pick, both are know. For their stubbornness in defense. I think Valhalla could ware them down through attrition eventually though.

Probably. Even numbers though, probably Vostroyans. They're better individually I think - plus manly moustaches.

Warhammer 40k is driven by Rule of Cool. Mordians wear their full dress uniforms (with medals!) into the trenches. No contest.

I voted Valhallans is this but I'd take Vostroyans if given the option.

The Valhallans win by pounding things down through attrition, but Mordians have actual discipline and skill. But Vostroyans are cooler than both.
