I'm actually disappointed a little by Blood and Chrome.
I get that they saved money by using props from BSG. But really?
In the interwar period the Viper went through five marks and the Raptor looks essentially unchanged. new tail, slightly longer, aft guns. But basically the same bird. 40 some odd years. Uniforms are identical 40 years in the past? I mean all except for the pilots. Tarded.
I'm a pretty rabid fan of all things BSG, but it's the little things that made BSG great. I hope SyFy stops being a pansy and throws money at this and it gets made right.

You see, to Auston, everyone is a Death Star; there's only one way you can take it and that's through a small gap at the back.

From what I remember the vipers used in BSG were Mark IIs as they didn't have integrated systems (And you get to see what happened to the newer Mks in the mini-series)

But yeah I was expecting a bit more difference but also the possibilty of a dual plot (Like Caprica) where you have Adama's story but also a "big picture" one following the upper levels of the colonial military

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Raptor went through several changes. It is significantly different in this movie than the later post-armistice war.
Engines being one of them (positioning and the fact they don't pivot in the later post-armistice war - it has lifting thrusters underneath.), jump drive added, structure probably improved as a result (Galactica did show that jumping was not safe if you had a weak hull).
It got improved sensors (DRADIS) to go with its new task and I believe it lost the tailgun as well.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
