Heya DakkaDakka.
I usually make Custom Primarch models for a few of my friends.
One of them Plays a Pre-Heresy Blood Angels army and has a Sanguinius Model.
He wants to field him in his army but doens't know of any rules for him.

Here is one I made, please make any changes to it as you see fit.

Sanguinius Lord of the Blood Angels HQ Points Cost: 550 points

WS:6 BS:6 S:6 T:5 W:4 I:7 A:4 LD: 10 SV: 2+

Unit Type: Jump infantry

Wargear: Sanguinary Blade, Angel’s wrath , Wings, Armour of Sanguine.

Special Rules:
Independent Character
Primarch
Red Thirst
Angelic Intervention

Wargear definitions:
Sanguinary blade: A Master crafted Power sword
Angel’s wrath: Master crafted Combi-flamer
Wings: Sanguinius was born with wings which act the same as Jump-packs
Armour of Sanguine: Artificer armour that gives Sanguinius a 4+ invulnerable

Special Rules Definitions:

Primarch: The Primarchs were beings of legend, towering over the tallest Astartes.
Any ally within 24” has the Fearless special rule.

Angelic Intervention: Sanguinius was known well for his heroic deeds and sacrifices. If a unit within 6” of Sanguinius takes an unsaved wound. The player can opt for Sanguinius to jump into combat in place of the wounded figure.
Sanguinius takes the wound instead of the chosen target (Normal Armour/Invulnerable saves apply!)
The squad breaks from the combat as the rage of the Primarch is wrought upon the enemy (Move the squad d6” away from the Sanguinius.)

There's likely going to be a ruleset for Sanguinus released with the new Forge World Horus Heresy books, they already have Angron, Horus, Moratorion, and Fulgrim. Those four are all at least WS 7, BS 5, S 6, T 6, W 5, I 5, A 5, Ld 10 with certain stats increased by a point or two to create different statlines for different Primarchs, they've got their own set of Primarch special rules (Independent Character, Eternal Warrior, Fear, Adamantium Will, Fleet, Fearless, It Will Not Die), and a few other unique rules and gear, ranging from 380pts for Fulgrim to 500 for Horus. I'd advise starting from WS 8, BS 5, S 7, T 6, W 6, I 7, A 5, Ld 10 for Sanguinus and then building him some special rules.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

It's been pretty funny to me that I've spent years pointing out to people that all we know about the Primarchs is Imperial propaganda and writing WS9-10 7-Wound 500pt monstrosities is a bit of an exaggeration, then have GW come out with official rules that aren't that far off of the old house rules.

His sword should be AP2 as all the aprimarchs released so far only fight with AP2 close-combat weapons. In Fear to Tread it is mentioned that ge uses a custom infernus pistol so maybe a master-crafted one or with increased range. As he seems to be capable of true flight and almost as big as a mostrous creature I think he should be avle to move like a FMC instead of just being capable of long leaps.
