There used to be a show on PBS called the Frugal Gourmet that was popular. Shortly after sexual allegations came out against the host of that show, Elmo was on as a guest chef. Coincidence? You decide.

Keep in mind PBS said that the underage allegations were unsubstantiated.

Having said that, when I watched the Elmo documentary, I thought that the puppeteer Klash acted a bit odd. But I racked it up to needing to be odd to make a career out of playing with puppets.

Isn't Clash saying that he was friends with the young man at 16 (kid's age not Clash's), and that nothing happened until he was 18?

I know that technically nothing illegal happened, but at the same time when I was in high school, my former 11th grade English teacher engaged in a relationship with a student. It wasn't sexual, but it was still someone in a position of power in a relationship with a child...

Kevin Clash kinda looks like a grumpy Tyler Perry on his Wikipedia page.

My wife has a sister that was groomed by a teacher at her high schoolfor a later relationship when she came of age. The guy was a control freak and exploited an at the time bad relationship between her and her parents.

Now all they need is pokaroo and Barnie to round out the NAMBLA guest list.

Good news, apparently the accuser has recanted all claims. Elmo is innocent.

Sadly, mearely the accusation of child abuse is enough to tarnish your reputation irrepairably.

This went pretty quick and wasn't a drawn out affair... with any luck things will be back to normal quickly for Mr. Clash and his red associate.

This is why the media reporting on every "allegation" is crap. How many people heard the initial story and might not have gotten the second story where he was vindicated of any wrong doing? Stupid media member sensationalism at work. Dude/woman should be punished every time something like this happens...

Elmo should just be happy Nancy Grace didn't get ahold of this. She'd have him crucified already.
