Wow, beautiful. How did you do the bases?

Cork tiles broken into larger chunks.

Added some coarse sand for extra texture using PVA glue.

Primed black, drybrushed with 2 tones of grey.

Then added some dry "dark mud" pigment from MIG wich was fixated with paint on dullcoat varnish.

And finally, some battlefield tufts (winter tufts) from army painter were added.

Nice! I'd maybe pick out that little cable by the helmet/neck on the studded powerfist guy in a contrast colour?

Would you be willing to share how you did the patch of static grass as well? I love the amoeba look on the first model.

Amazing job with the cork basing - I couldn't get mine to look right so I just scrapped it and went with desert sand instead.

I may be wrong but it looks similar to a technique alot of people use (lord knows I have) involving a base coat of flat white and then washing the model with brown coloration. This far removes the model from the creamy "yellow" you typically see with the GW deathwing termis... in my opinion it is a far more realistic and accurate representation of the weathered bone colored armor DW have.

Very well executed in complimenting the character of the models. They look like they are actively surveying a site they just DS'd on to pursue or engage an enemy...

It's Vallejo iraqi sand airbrushed over burnt sienna hue, with pure white highlights airbrushed over it.

It's then given a gloss varnish coat, followed by an oil vandyck brown wash. The edges are again picked out in white.

Those are very nice. I haven't begun to paint mine yet. I just finished painting all my other DW for a comp on bolter and chainsword so since my base DW are done, I will not be in a hurry to paint them. Really like your detail.

Excellent work. Double check your lights next to the head. It looks like you forgot to hit it with red on 2 of the models.

Beautiful job! I especially like the power sword. I am not too sure about the dark colouration under the eyes though, I guess that's just not how i would do it. It also looks like you missed a couple of red lenses (pictures 1 and 5).
